I think that the Bears won't win many games this year seeming that they've named

rookie QB Kyle Orton their starter........

Blake will start by game 2.

no way, i think orton will do fine. This coming from a Vikings fan. I wanna see Orton do well... but not TOO well, haha.

I'm a big Shaun King fan as well. Hope he gets picked up by someone after being released by ther Arizona Cardinals.

I always felt that Tampa would have one or possily more Super Bowls if we had kept King at starter and developed him some more. I always felt that he would be the one that would lead Tampa Bay into the promised land. Of course Brad Johnson came along and won us our SB so im not complianing but i feel that if Tampa would have tried to bring him along more King would have been a huge name in the NFL. But I also felt that way about Joe Hamilton and look how well he turned out

Shawn King still has nightmares about getting embedded into the Vet stadium turf. I think he needs treatment.

The Eagles did not have to release anyone today. Due to the NFL Europe exemptions, and a few players being placed on the P.U.P. list, they didn't have to cut anybody.

falcons release peerless price

Titans sign Troy edwards

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad Troy Edwards found a home right away's he a great possesion reciever.

Peerless "don't call me a #2 reciever" Price gets cut, not a surprise, but now Atlanta has to go out and get someone to jump start there reciever corrps because right now they have:

Roddy White (Rookie): I'd give him a B+ if he plays up to expectations for a rookie

Brian Finneran: A tall reciever (6-5 I think) with great hands but hasn't had a lot come his way, he's a B

Dez White: Chicago Bears cast off is a good player but not a number 2, he's another B

Michael Jenkins: B, Last year's first round pick for the Falcons, another tall guy (6-4)

A bunch of average guys in my opinion, no standouts QUITE yet, although Jenkins

and burner Roddy White will make AN AWESOME COMBO!!!!!

anyways, there's my 2 cents on the Atlanta corps right now

Here's what Brian Finneran and Dez White had to say about Price getting cut,

from atlantafalcons.com

Wide receiver Brian Finneran on his reaction to Price being released:

"It's disappointing. I feel like he's a guy who could have helped this team. I'm going to miss him. We've been together a few years now. It's that time of year where it gets tough, but as a player I've got to just keep on going and work with the guys we've got now. We've got a good group of guys ? Peerless definitely would have helped us, but it's just too bad."

Finneran of if he has talked to Price about being released:

"No. I haven't had a chance to. I've been out [on the field] since special teams and he didn't come out for practice."

Finneran on if he was told Price was released or just picked up on it:

"We pretty much figured it out. Coach pulled me aside and told me and we talked about it for a second. But it's that time of year when it gets tough and you start losing some guys who have been around for a long time."

Wide receiver Dez White on Price being released:

"That's the league. It's hard to get attached to people because of free agency and things like that and we just have to keep going. We wish him the best."

White on if he and his teammates knew Price's release was coming:

"No. It was a surprise to me. I don't know about anybody else. I just found out right before practice. It was definitely a surprise to me."

White on his feelings about Price's waiving:

"Well, it hurts. It hurts everybody because we're a tight-knit group of players on this team. And in our unit of receivers, we stay tight. We stay close. It's tough to lose somebody like that. I spent at least a year with him and Brian's been with him a couple years. It's hard to lose somebody like that."

White on if he thinks Price will land in Philadelphia:

"I have no idea. I just wish him the best. I hope he goes somewhere and goes out there and shows what he can do."

Also,

CIN signs LB Hannibal Navies, S Ifyami Ohalete

MIA release QB Brock Berlin

i think the reason price failed in atlanta is because of vick. If Michael wasnt a running Qb price would have kept his 1000 yard seasons. And keep in mind he had kurt kittner and doug johnson throwing him the ball for a season. So i think if he lands in a place with a good QB he should thrive and become one of the nfls better recievers.
