I would love to see them break those out for real.I like the wordmarks and the logo too. They're going in the right direction but something seems a little off - I don't mean this in an offensive way, but it looks kind of a little...sloppy maybe? Maybe it's like someone else said - too much layeirng.For the helmet I'd be interested in seeing the trojan head in monochromatic gold or the SC wordmark.Overall, awesome, awesome work. I love that new Trojan logo, but the wordmark and uniform clash with my whole perception of USC. It's a good look I think, it would look great out there on the field, but not on USC.SC's current look is flatly one of the best in the college ranks period, IMO. The whole feel of it oozes tradition, and call me crazy, but I like the gray facemasks that the Trojans wear. There's something that I like about a program establishing an identity associated with winning and sticking with it. The swooshes on the sleeves and futuristic numbers fly totally in the face of the classic old school USC look that I love. I can appreciate little upgrades, like changing the current Trojan helmet logo for the concept logo, as long as the overall look remains the same (like Georgia's uniform update).Other than that though, great job Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's actually pretty hard to see the face on the current helmets. Adding the white to the logo brings out the face and seperates it from the helmet. I could see myself possibly buying nearly every update/modernization/concept you make. And I say that with no disrespect to guys like Unwind or DirtyCurty, because their work is excellent too. There's a couple more i haven't mentioned, but these are the people that come to mind when i think of good designers on this board. I love your tweak of the logo. The reduction of "fine details" in the plume (or whatever its called) and the face to me makes the logo stand out more. My only complaint is the facemask. I gave it an outline and more defining edges so the logo doesn't seem like it just sits there. The current logo also looks a bit too much on the happy side, so I gave him a more stern look. EDIT: Unis AddedEDIT: Damnit, i put the whites as home and the reds as away...should be the other way around. Great job on the USC uniforms. However, they tried changing the Trojan on the helmet a few years back and went to cardinal facemasks, but in the end they returned to the former Trojan logo and gray facemasks. A few years ago, they went back to the 1960s era jerseys (red with gold numbers and shoulder stripe for home, white with red numbers and shoulder stripe for home) and dropped the 1970s style jerseys (red with white and gold stripes for home, white with gold and red stripes for road). Also, I don't think USC will ever put names on the back of their jerseys.However, this concept would be even better for Iowa State. They have the same colors but these unis with the "I-STATE" logo instead of the Trojan would be an improvement over what they have had the past couple of years (Cardinal jerseys with two gold shoulder stripes, numbers, and "Iowa State" on the front for home, white with cardinal stripes, numbers and words for the home ones). What I would do for Iowa State would be to add the either the "I-STATE" logo or "Cy the Cyclone Cardinal" mascot on each arm and add a white stripe on the Cardinal red jerseys. Also, on the v-neck where you have the "SC" you either use the Big XII logo (If using the I-STATE Logo) or the I-STATE if using the Cy the Cardinal one.
