I would bet that's from "The Electric Company", which was what you watched after you were done with Sesame Street.

Featuring an unknown (to my 5-year-old mind, anyway) Morgan Freeman as "Easy Reader". Good stuff. We actually got to watch in school on occasion.

At the time he was pretty much unknown, period. Funny what can happen to someone in 25-30 years time.

Morgan Freeman as "Easy Reader":

In addition to Cosby and Freeman, the cast also included Rita Moreno, Joan Rivers, Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel.

Easy Reader, 'coz even pimps should be able to read.

Hey, you guys!

Actually the picture you see there isn't Morgan Freeman playing Easy Reader, but rather Morgan Freeman playing DJ Mel Mounds. Easy Reader had a much shorter haircut, and wore a brown leasuire suit or a brown jogger suit covered with various badges on his jacket. (Dear God, I just dated myself!)

Easy Reader ? Segments featuring the title character, played by Morgan Freeman, teaching words of the day. Often associated with Val the librarian (Hattie Winston) after 1973). His name is a pun based on Easy Rider.

Easy Reader, That's My Name- I say Uh-Uh-huh

Easy Ready, That's My Game- I say Uh-Uh-huh

Top to bottom and left to right

that readin' is really outta sight

Easy Reader That's My Name- I say Uh....Uh-huh

The Bill Cosby picture came from a local Cincinnati icon. Bob Shreve (local legend in Cincinnati) hosted a show called The Past Prime Playhouse and one night Cosby dropped by and spent the rest of the night on the air with Bob.
