Radio Favorite: The Dan Patrick Show

Radio Least Favorite: Jim Rome. I used to love that show until I realized what a one-trick pony the dude is. Same old  :censored: different day. Spare me. I do like the e-mail stuff though.

Rome is a "one-trick pony"?? If you actually paused to think about it, you could come to realize that all radio sports talk shows are pretty much the same day in and day out. Rome's show is the freshest by far, especially compared to Dan Patrick. Now his show would have to rank as my least favorite. It's never entertaining, he is never funny, and I cannot stand how Dan is always kissing up to athletes, something Rome never does.

Just my opinion Curty. No need to sweat it. Yeah they are all one-trick ponies but Rome's "one trick" wears on my patience.

For what it's worth I have been listening since the original four debuted. I have been there since back in the day when Crapchester was one of only four stations to carry Rome. I used to follow him on the air every day when we became an affiliate in Syracuse. I remember when tour stops were actual live show broadcasts. I was there when Bill from Syracuse showed up, When JT the Brick was still a caller, etc... Hell I was there when the e-mail contest was a freaking fax contest!

John from Syracuse used to call my show all the time. I was there when he flamed leading off a smack-off. Unfortunately I never heard from Bill....anyway....

I think I have earned the right to smack the host around a little.

"Without the nicks and cuts of a blade." I'm out. :D

I like listening to their press confrences a lot too. I just really like Ronde, he is my favorite player, like he is with a lot of people who like Tampa I guess.

Pardon the Interuption Australia > than PtI USA

at least i can watch a show with Aussie accents, and Sam Kekavich is good host or co-host or panelist if you want to use those words....also the US guys don't seem to know much about Sports in general, they know there one sport and thats it, proven when they were talkin soccer when the WC Draw came out

One Sport? What would that be?

TV: Baseball Tonight. Least Favorite: Around the Horn. I don't like that there is no New York beat writer/columnist on that show considering it is the biggest market. They also need to change around the writers and markets occasionally.

Radio: I miss having a local sports talk station. We get KNBR here but I can't listen to it at work so I'm stuck with Sports 1140 in Sac. Thus my favorites are Mike and the Mad Dog and Steve Sommers on WFAN and the Razor and Mr. T on KNBR (although I liked Larry Kreuger too until he got fired for being honest). Least Favorite: Jim Rome he would be better if he stopped doing the one thing that irritates me which is he immediately recaps a listener call that I just heard not five seconds before. My short term memory isn't that bad.

He doesn't write for a New York paper which is what I mean when I say a New York beat writer/columnist.

Fox NFL Countdown...they don't take themselves seriously, so you can just enjoy the show.

That's why I like it as well.

Best NFL Show: Fox NFL Countdown

Worst NFL Show: CBS Countdown or w/e

Best MLB Show: Baseball Tonight

Worst MLB Show: THERE IS NO OTHER SHOW. BASEBALL TONIGHT IS FOREVER.

Best NHL Show: Used to be NHL2Night. Now its the 5 seconds Barry Melrose pops up on sportscenter for.

Worst NHL Show: Those guys on OLN.

Best NBA Show: NBA Shootaround

Worst NBA Show: Inside Stuff. That show is garbage.

Best Sports Talk Show: PTI

Worst Sports Talk Show: 1st & 10.

Best: Around the horn, PTI a close second.

Worst: The 6PM (3 PST) High school drama edition of sportscenter. I don't give a flying f*** if Donovan McNabb and T.O. like each other. Same with Shaq and Kobe. I want to see some actual game highlights. Sorry if I sound bitter, but that edition could be so much better if they tried harder.

BEST: Around the Horn, I like it because it gives alot of different opinions. Also, Woody Paige is hilarious (mainly because he is so stupid, but I still love to watch him).

WORST: Jim Rome is Burning, I really think Jim Rome is a jack@$$. It was alot of fun watching Jim Everett beat his @$$.
