THanks..... yeah the team is giving me a ticket as a way of saying thanks for works I have done... how cool?

Actually if anyone from the area can give me info it would be great....

Right now I have lined up a hotel in Flint MI, which I am told is 45 minutes from Ford Field... I grabbed it on short notice but would love to find something closer to Ford Field.

As far as Windsor.... I dont have a passport... can I still get into Canada?

Have a look here:

Current Requirements for Entry Into Canada

Visas are not required for U.S. citizens entering Canada from the U.S. You will, however, need:

Proof of your U.S. citizenship such as your U.S. passport (For information on obtaining a U.S. passport, check with one of the regional passport agencies located throughout the U.S.) or certified copy of your birth certificate issued by the city, county or state in the U.S. where you were born. If you are a naturalized U.S. citizen and do not have a passport, you should travel with your naturalization certificate. A driver’s license, voter’s registration card or Social Security card is NOT valid proof of citizenship.

Photo identification, such as a current, valid driver’s license.

or...

To visit Canada you:

must be healthy. You might need a doctor’s examination;

must respect Canadian laws;

will need a valid passport, proof of who you are or other travel documents;

will need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) if you are from one of these countries; and

may need a letter of invitation.

Congrats on getting Super Bowl tickets. Have fun at the game! :)

I saw, I came, I left.

For now, but that's apparently changing soon.

I would have tried Lansing rather than Flint, it's a longer drive but I think it's easier. Of course, it's also what I'm used to so there's probably some bias there.

I had a feeling someone from these boards would come on today proclaiming that he would be going to the Super Bowl, and the rest of you guys are lame suckers who don't have connections to get in.

I was hoping that guy was me, but oh well. That sounds awesome though, homeboy. Hope you have fun, make it something you won't forget. :grin:

LUCKY! :D I wish I could go. Maybe when it's in Miami next year I'll try.

While in Detroit, I recommend three things that are right downtown. First, Joe Louis Fist.

I swear someday that thing is going to come to life and punch a bus over on it's side.

Second, Greektown. The Greek community is full of great little places to eat. Opa!!

Third, Lafayette Coney Island. It's the "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger" restraunt from Saturday Night Live come to life, only with Chili Dogs instead. Highly Recommended. 118 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, 48226 - (313) 964-8198

The other thing I recommend in Windsor, Ontario as discussed at great length in an earlier thread. And not just for the girlies either. I'm sure that scene is going to be a little nuts with the fat cats in town for Super Bowl...

Previous thread

Last time I went into Canada was a year ago and I needed nothing more than my driver's license.

Congrats on getting to go to the game!
