jkrdevil
This make me think that the numbers thing is something we will see adopted league wide soon.
jcjr81
Thanks for the picture, Chris. I like that they used the original number font for the chest and not the new one. That would have looked terrible.
ebod39
WTF?? that is the stupidest thing they could have done, this f'in organization can't get anything right, morons. Great Gordon Lightfoot, that's terrible!!
eww7633
Just wondering, are they wearing matching pants, gloves, and helmets? Or are they wearing the pants with the stripe that go with their normal unis?
Neon_Matrix
Um...interesting... this completly betrays the whole retro ways of the jersey by using modern shorts, helmets and stupid number placement. The whole number on the front is growing on me...but I'd HATE to see it happen to every team or for it to remain past this season because it wont work well with some teams crests... The_Admiral
You know what, front numbers might not be such a bad idea after all. I'd have to see it adapted on several other sweaters before I endorse it fully. I don't think it'd work well for the Rangers, obviously. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Chazberg
I think the front numbers look ridiculous, and when combined with the sleeve numbers it's way too much. Plus when you pair it with the C or A it looks even more stupid. I am terrified about where hockey uniforms are heading, to say the least. charles-noerenberg.com
The_Admiral
Here's an idea. Front numbers in place of the C or A for everybody else, figuring that captains and alternates can be identified without numbers. What about that? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Front numbers in place of the C or A for everybody else, figuring that captains and alternates can be identified without numbers. What about that? Not a bad idea, but in the case of the Sabres they have alternating captains so the C's and A's won't always be on the same players. Not that they can't also be identified by the sleeve numbers, but just sayin.
The_Admiral
Well, that whole alternating captain thing should be fixed too, if you ask me. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Front numbers in place of the C or A for everybody else, figuring that captains and alternates can be identified without numbers. What about that?unless i see the C or the A, i would have no idea who each teams captain and alternates are. especially with teams changing captains all the time. Spoilers! DG_ThenNowForever
That looks really stupid with old jersey and new shorts. It's working, however. IceCap
Yeah, I agree with whoever said this an omen of things to come in the NHL. That could very well mean the end of the Rangers diagonal script. DEAD!
gee, I didn't expect for them to put a number on the front of the throwback jerseys. I'm not sure if this will be a trend. Perhaps some teams will do this in the future. I also see numbers on the waist area like the Dodgers. I saw, I came, I left.
capn89
That uniform looks really, really, REALLY bad with the "new blue" pants and helment... especially with the slug on the lid. Really.
