Epiphanic
Not bad. The Pelican's demeanor is badass. "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble.
Fjm
I like the logo and uniforms, except for the font. Too hard to read on the white and gray jerseys, especially "Myrtle Beach".

meetthemets
Plan B. usually does pretty solid work. Not really impressed by this one though. Looks like a logo for an all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant.

Gothamite
Here's a comparison, old and new.On the whole, I really like it. I love the primary logo, and I like the sleeve patch without words. A mascot facing away from the viewer shouldn't work, but this one does somehow. And it's a great name - I have long been of the opinion that the New Orleans Zephyrs should adopt it.Don't really like the home cap logo - looks unfinished.I really don't like the road cap logo. The "MB" looks too handwritten. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

And it's a great name - I have long been of the opinion that the New Orleans Zephyrs should adopt it.Won't happen, as Tom Benson owns the rights to the name "New Orleans Pelicans" and has quashed all attempts by the Zephyrs to put the state bird on their ID package. As a result, the Zephyrs have the state rodent, orange teeth and all... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. TruColor
Anybody else getting a San Diego Chargers vibe?Interesting you would say that, because in the press release, they mention that the "Pelican Blue" (the lighter Blue) is a unique color in professional sports. Last night, I sent the Pelicans' front office an email with a list of eight other current teams in professional sports who use that same exact Pantone color...including the San Diego Chargers throwback uniforms. FiddySicks
You still cant beat the unis the Pelicans wore a few years ago with the Mets style stripes running down the shoulders and pants. Those were beautiful. You can (almost) see it here. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Steve-O
I was hoping for better work from Plan B. They have dissappointed me with this piece. It has an amateurish feel to it. I think it is the thin lines throughout the logo and especially the pelican's body. Could have been so much more.
impulsive106
Upon the first look, I was disappointed. But after reading the rationale for the new package, I liked it more. The way that the pelican is drawn looks like more of a sketch/illustration that would appear on a resort's pamphlet than a typical logo, and that works given the location. The MiLB is known for being unconventional with its names and logos, and this is just another addition.

slapshot
It's kind of an upgrade, although I really wasn't a fan of the current identity. The pelican is a much better rendering than the previous version. The script font is not very legible from a distance, and I don't like the pinlines inside the primart script.Definitely not the best thing to come from Plan B. This is quite the proficient company, all of a sudden. Maybe they're spreading themselves too thin. OHLArenaGuide
Stupid team name, but that's about the best they conceivably could have done with it. Plan B is a solid company and I like their work.
