Spezza19
nice to see the rays have some success finally...although when are they going to take those tarps off in the upper deck. I wonder how many fans were turned away tonight.I have to straighten this thread out. The Rays WILL finish last in the AL East again. This is not a prediction, this is a straight up iron clad GUARANTEE. There, I said it. End of story. They wont finish last, they'll probably finish third or fourth in the division. You are saying that they're going to go from being the best team in the majors to last in the AL East by October. Wow. If this happens, I will put BUZZCUT IS TEH BASEBALL IMMORTALZ in size 7 bolded font in my sig for the duration of October.

Island_Style
For the first time all year I am starting to fear that it is striking midnight for the Marlins' season. Last night's game was heartbreaking. I am glad I missed it. Philly is back to playing the crappy NL so their losing ways have stopped. It is still a long season. The Rays still have me happy. Will they win their division? Maybe, maybe not. I do guarantee they will make the playoffs. Sure, I'll iron clad it.

gingerbreadmann
Yep, I'd be deadly surprised if the Rays don't win this division.(Braves fans, I have a new appreciation of what you have gone through recently. My condolences.)
Brass
Could anybody actually fill me in on the purpose of Julio Lugo's existence? Without a doubt, the most overpaid player in the history of baseball. Struck out with the bases loaded and the tying run on third and this isn't the first time he's cost the Sox a win. They really need to give the SS spot to either Alex Cora or Jed Lowrie. I mean, Lowrie did fantastic with the Sox at the beginning of the season. On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? I mean, Lowrie did fantastic with the Sox at the beginning of the season.Well it was Bases Loaded 0 outs, needing one run to tie the game. Of course up comes the hole 7-8-9 and of course 2 of them strike out and the other hits a god-damn pop-up on 2-0. Cora actually started the game and Casey pinch hit in the 8th so Lugo came in the 9th defensively and therefore had to hit. They all suck, Crisp, Varitek, Lugo (Not like I would have had much more confidence with Cora). At this point it would almost be better to have the pitcher hit, Varitek only catch and have someone DH for him. And Lowrie is long overdue right now. He makes costly errors at times when we need simple plays. He strikes out when we need a run (like today). On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? whalersjets
If anyone single player gets the blame over this, it's Varitek. Up 2-0 in the count, swings at a pitch that would be ball 3, and pops out in the infield. People always say how the Red Sox shouldn't get rid of Varitek for his things that he does while catching, but I'm willing to give that up if the Red Sox can get a catcher that's not in a coma while at the plate. Don't you realize that Jason Varitek is the reason the sun comes up every day? So what if he couldn't hit the ground if he fell off the roof. All roads lead to Dollar General. TFoA
Reports are surfacing that Sabathia is a Brewer...No surprise there, the Indians had been scouting the Brewers' farm teams, so there was a more-than-likely chance that he'd be going there.I guess now this helps their chances in tracking down the Cubs.
