It's ok...the team's DOA between the local PBL team, the local college teams, and the best remaining teams in the ABA bailing for the PBL.

Well, they did say in the article the owners had a promotional deal with a company for the name, it fell through but they kept the name...that could have been the tie in.

Okay, so even though there's no deal they kept a logo that is essentially still promoting the product? Lucky break for the company. They still get some exposure and don't have to pay a thing. Conversely, they should sue the team to protect their mark.

An hour down the road, Rochester already had an ABA team (I think it's in the ABA), the Rochester Razorsharks. It's kinda like if the Chicago Cubs changed their name to the Chicago Blue Sox.

That's another good organization that grew fed up with the ABA and left.
