LMU
The Celtics have won against Bynum, the Celtics have won against Gasol, but the Celtics haven't seen Bynum AND Gasol. With that combination, the Lakers should be in the elite for years. Plus, if they manage to snag Arenas, game over.
PeytonManningRocks
Yea but there's no real shot of us getting Arenas I don't think. And if there is, there's not enough room to have Kobe, Arenas and Gasol and still have the decent bench we have.
Cujo
Not that I know a whole lot about the NBA salary cap, but I woud imagine there is virtually no chance of Arenas going to the Lakers as long as they're going to be paying top dollar to players like Kobe, Gasol, Odom and Bynum for years to come.As for the series, the Lakers hung on to win Game 3, cutting their series deficit to 2 games to 1. Eventhough I have a slight interest in seeing Boston bring home the trophy, I'm okay with Los Angeles winning just to make things a little interesting. NJTank
I think despite LA's win today the Celtics are the better team and will find a way to win two more games www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
chuckymack
Yeah, the C's just seem like the better team to me. Pierce and Garnett aren't going to be transparent for every game. Sigs are for sissies.

FiddySicks
Yikes, Boston is getting beat like they stole something. Down 21 after the first? This could get ugly. FiddySicks
Well well well, so much for that one, Boston just stormed back within two. Now THIS is a basketball game. Cujo
Just wondering, am I the only person here that hates this matchup and hopes these games are the most unwatchable basketball ever?I'm not really into the NBA as I once was, but I was actually geeked for a Boston/Los Angeles Finals when the series was set two weeks ago. However we could probably agree that aside from the final minutes of Game 2, the series has been pretty dull. Most likely it's from all the hype that the Finals have yet to live up to.Yikes, Boston is getting beat like they stole something. Down 21 after the first? This could get ugly.Umm yeah, you might wanna turn the tv set back on, my friend...I feel this is the best chance for Boston to come away with a road win in this series. If they can't pull it off, I'm afraid they're gonna leave L.A. down 3 games to 2.

Starchild
Ladies and gentlemen, that is the series. Boston will win Game 5... the Lakers have zero desire to win this series anymore and any bit of momentum they had over the first 2 1/2 quarters of Game 4, is entirely Boston's. Oh, and another great sell by Pierce at the end of the 4th quarter and his wonderful "look up to the sky at G-d" during his post-game interview with Michelle Tafoya. If he wasn't such a talented player, he'd be the Intercontinental Champion in the WWE and probably rival the top stars for his selling ability and inspiring promos. All that said, I'm going to eat crow and say congratulations to Boston and just tip my hat. They gave every reason in the book to critics at the start of the post-season and consistently won when it counted. Then shutting down Kobe in Games 1 and 2, and bouncing back from 20+ down in Game 4... what can you say? I may hate them, but they're the rightful champions this season. At least I can smile knowing KG will finally have a ring. "The true New Yorker secretly believes that anyone living anywhere else has got to be, in some sense, kidding." FiddySicks
What the HELL is up with the lakers? Now being inconsistant from game to game, but from quarter to quarter? I've never seen such an inconsistant team in my life. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
