HatManTC
i have seen some interesting hats in my years(use to work in a hat store) but this has to take the cake.http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3012066this hat comes with logos with velcro backing so you switch them out for other colors at your whim
FiddySicks
Personally, I think thats a great idea. It helps so you don't have to buy four different hats. Too bad the colors aren't better though.
SLAM
Cool idea. I wouldn't buy it though.
goaztecs
I used to have a Nike hat like this with multiple colored swoosh logos. The unused ones would fit inside the hat so you wouldn't lose them. I like this idea but I agree with Bucfan about the colors.
Korbyn
Very neat idea, but yah what bucfan said not crazy about the colors.

KCScout76
FUGLY hats - velcro? Maybe it's the next big thing - but not for me.
tBBP
Dear God...VELCRO!!!Ugh...I'm already beyond sick of all things velcro, just simply due to what I'm forced to wear daily. Don't think I'll be hook-and-piling any interchangeable logo patches on any fitted anytime soon...
JToad
This would be great if there were different team logos in a set. So for all the bandwagon jumpers, if they're team lost, they could just switch it out for the winning one.But seriously, as a sports merchandise retailer, this is a novel concept, and would help keep inventory down in an urban market. You would have no idea how often people come in trying to match an outfit. We would have to stock a red yankees, a camo- yankees, royal blue, black, yellow...etc. etc... This would make it a hell of a lot easier.

This would make it a hell of a lot easier.I think it is a damn clever idea (not that I'd ever buy one). In some respects, it is no different than buying a watch with interchangeable bevels. One downside for the manufacturer is that someone who may have bought 4-5 hats so he can match his outfits might just buy 1. However, as you note, the manufacturer may now run less risk of having too much supply (or is that more likely to wind up falling on the retailer, who has to make sure he doesn't order too many hats?). pagan696
like leo88 sez, to keep "just in time" inventory, cap shops will see the light and carry only velcro logos behind the counter, like the old heat transfer Tshops at the beach. ugh. cheo25
I'm not a big fan of all the fashion crap, but I can understand merchandise using any combination of your team's real colors. But unless they're gonna give your velcro logos using your team's real colors only, I think it's garbage. A team has a set of colors. If you wear a neon green logo and your team's real colors are black and red, it's just dumb.

And I wonder how the hat actually looks in person -- does the velcro logo stick out?I'm not the target market for this hat and I'm certainly not going to buy it. I also think it gives off a low-rent vibe -- if this kind of look were important to you, you might well buy the five different hats or whatever. And five of the same design is boring too. But like most of the stuff New Era sells, they tend to find a market.
PittsburghSucks
I'd have to say no to that hat.
lilgump
I actually bought the Seattle Mariners one on monday.Pretty much for the reasons people have liked them, so I can mix/match with outfits. I have a pair of shoes right now that are black with some lime green highlights, so I thought the hat would go good with that. I go to Univ. of Washington, so the purple logo fits in with washington gear. And the red and white logo goes with a lot of other stuff. A little tacky, sure, but I like it! Firefly
Is the velcro area shaped like the logo of is it just a little square? It just sounds so flimsy.

hecticbro
Interesting idea.... But who the frell would want a purple or neon green Chief Wahoo on their Indians hat?It would be more practical to do this for teams like the Tigers, who have two navy hats but one with a white logo and the other with an orange logo.I'm surprised that it doesn't look tackier.
