JayJaxon
The Rox are on fire right now. The Phillies finally lost a game, but it had to be on the say where the Braves face Lincecum. He's 5-0 in his career against the Bravos. In other news, the Dodgers are taking a hard look at Halladay now. I'm not sure they have the pitching Toronto wants though. Cujo
With the acquisitions of LaRoche and Duncan, it looks like PawSox are primed to make a run at the IL crown.

Cujo
Philly's 10-game win streak is over, while at the same time, the Cubbies finally pick up a "W" over someone not named the Nationals.
FiddySicks
Gah, looks like the magic may have stayed in the first half for the Giants. I really hope they can turn it around. BBTV
Gah, looks like the magic may have stayed in the first half for the Giants. I really hope they can turn it around. Not me! If the Giants will the Wild Card, they'd have a first-round match up with the Phillies (IF of course LA has the best overall record, and the Phillies win the East with a better record than the Central winner, OR the Phillies finish with the best overall record.) The Giants are the team that the Phillies match up worst against pitching wise. In a 5-game series, I can't see the Phillies winning. In fact, I want them to mortgage the future to get Halladay specifically for a potential match up with the Giants. Long story short - I really don't want the Giants to make it... JayJaxon
I don't want the Giants to make it either, because it's looking more and more like the Braves will have to chase that Wild Card spot. At least they are in the process of doing so as we speak.

Really though, if the Giants get to the playoffs anyone who gets them in the first round is gonna have their work cut out for them in a short series. Remember to breathe in, breathe out.Not shocked this team is awful there are no big leaguers in the line up, our GM is clueless, our assitnat GM is challenge AA players to fights, and our Manager is calling the suicide hot line from the dugout. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

NJTank
I cant even watch them anymore, I have missed the last four games Prediction at the end of the year the Nats, and 28 other teams will post a better second half better then the Mets, who will have a tough time winning 20 more games. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

Epiphanic
Woo! With that series win, the Nats are a paltry 16 games out of 4th place in the NL East!Reach for that brass ring! "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble.
cappital92
I can live with that.Me too. Anything to make sure that the Nats don't break the '03 Tigers or (who else but?) the '62 Mets record.Speaking of the team with the worse record in the majors (not the Mets, contrary to popular belief, though I wouldn't mind), the Post is reporting that the Nationals won't be able to sign Stephen Stratsburg by the deadline. I'm not happy about this by any means, but if he goes back into the draft, the Nats get a pick equivalent to the position he was drafted in, which is supposed to be the second overall pick. If the Nats finish with the worst record in the league(which would take a comeback of epic proportions for them not to), they'll have the first two picks in next years draft. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes? They'd get a pick in the same draft in which he was drafted in? How could it be an equivalent pick if he was chosen with that pick? Wouldn't the compensation pick have to be in the following draft? If the Nationals don't sign him, they'll probably have the top two picks in 2010. http://www.wizardsxtra.com Is it the shoes?

Losing Delgado was bad, but they could have withstood itThey could have overcome the loss of Reyes too in the short term, but now two months without their spark plug its cripplingThen they lost their best player Beltran and that was all she wrote. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
