Shoolaces
Against UL-Lafayette on Sept. 26 it's rumored that NU will wear throwbacks (my guess is to when the streak started...early 60's). No "real" sources but I was randomly at the stadium and saw the white helmets with grey facemasks and black gothic numerals.I know there are a few husker fans on here that might like to know...lolI'm guessing based on helmets I saw...second thoughts...nebraska really has not strayed to much lol
Bmac
I don't know how different these will look than our regular set. I hope this is one of the games I get to go to this year. GO BIG RED!!!
ericjjyy
It looks like the normal uniforms with less stripes and a different number font. Not sure if a non-logo fan would even pick up on that right away. Then again, I guess they can sell more jerseys if they have different types of jerseys to sell. RyanMcD29
That post above brings up a good question. Why were stomach length jerseys so common in college football in the mid-90s?

"We" is acceptable for students and Alumni, IMO...How is we not acceptable for fans? When talking about the Twins, I say we, but there is no way I will ever be literally a part of the team. Don't you consider your favorite team, to a degree, your team? When asking who your favorite team plays, don't you say we? Who are we playing today? I think it is very acceptable to apply that you are part of the team because fans are a huge part of teams.

huskeraddict
Throwbacks would be a cool thing, I'd rather see the 70s era uniforms:as long as the shoulder stripes were done right and wrapped all the way around and not halved off like Indianapolis, LSU, Iowa State, etc.
CAB
I always saw "we" when talking about the Huskers, and every other fan I know does, so I don't see the problem here. Plus we have a pretty big fan base considering this will be the 300th sellout. Anyway, I've always wanted to see the Huskers wear throwbacks, these should look nice. NMLSooner
I remember the running backs in the '90s having the "half-shirts" and the back panel of the shoulder pads would be flopping around. I would like to see Nebraska go back to the 'N' on the sleeve like they had with Turner Gill.

BTW, I hated that look, but I never played football beyond middle school.
chestnutz
"We" is perfectly fine for fans to say IMO. I do it all the time. As a fan, you're a part of the team, in fact you're a very important part of the team, without the fan there would be no sport, because sport is just entertainment.
