NBA Rookies, Tradees and Free Agents in new unis

Artest wearing 93 was also a tribute to Queensbridge:
Ron moved from 91 after being traded to the Kings, choosing 93, which was a tribute to his roots in Queensbridge, with the 9 apparently looking like a Q and the 3 looking like a B. Go figure.

I'm pretty sure its 93 for queensbridge and he chose the number 69 originally but the rockets wouldn't let him keep it so he switched the numbers around.

93=QB (Queensbridge Projects)

96=Qb (again, kinda looks like the QB for Queensbridge)

when you're replacing an old Carr, you need more than Les Miles

Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva

You used to hold me

Tell me that I was the best

Anything in this world I want

I could posses

All that made me want

Was all that I can get

In order to survive

Gotta learn to live with regrets

That daggone jersey looks like a nightgown on lil' Bennie there.

Turkey Do

Well...that number came outta nowhere. Anyone know the story behind that one?

EDIT: upon closer review...those numbers (and even the letters) look REALLY BAD...like whoever applied them didn't take the time to straighten them up right. Especially the "2".

Just read that on Doug Smith's blog on thestar.com... Hedo Turkoglu's daughter was born on February 26th, 2009.

T-Mac is switching to #3 next year for Houston. Not really sure where to post it, but I'm sure it doesn't deserve a new thread.

Azira will wear #1.

Odd that T-Mac would give up his #1 for Ariza. Must've been a hefty pay-off.

Hey...times is hard for everybody, you know??? Even uber-talented scorers who can't stay healthy for any more than 20 games a season...

T-Mac requested a change midway through this past season before Ariza even joined the team. So it wasn't a matter of paying him off.

I don't think Ariza paid him for the number. The reason he is switching to 3 is to promote his "3 points Darfur" initiative.
