So is the Pac 10 Oregon, Stanford, and "Oh God look at that bloody mess on the floor" this season or something? How many teams are Bowl eligible out of that Conference?

So far, it's Oregon, Stanford and Arizona that is bowl eligible. Washington and Oregon State can get in with wins.

Only one will win their game and get bowl eligible. Me thinks the MAC and it's 6 teams are looking pretty good at taking what the Pac-10 cannot fill.

LA Tech and Middle Tenn can be bowl eligible as well, but they both face the conference champion (Nevada and FIU) tomorrow.

Not quite. Nevada still has to win this weekend. Their only other loss was to Hawaii who is also in the WAC. If they lose, they have to hope Boise loses to Utah State (HA!) and Hawaii is already done with their WAC schedule and only lost one game.

1992: 8-7 loss @ Miami when your kicker was a little too cocky going onto the field.

That one holds a little less meaning since, you know, a couple years later Miami became the first team ever to be shut out in the Fiesta Bowl thanks to us.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

That Nevada issues is correct. I should have said a conference leader. You know you are an ultra-spare conference when you have no three team tie-breakers and must have a conference call. Good going Karl Benson and trusts! At least the Big XII had something in place in 2008.

Umm... wow. This is twice in the past week where big games have been lost by kickers.

I wouldn't exactly call the Arizona State-Arizona matchup a "big game".....

To ASU-UofA people it is. Additionally, there's a slight chance ASU goes to a bowl because of this game, and i repeat slight, and additionally it could make a difference on where UofA goes for their bowl game.

Oh, and if you consider Georgia-Florida or Georgia-Tech a big game, then you have to consider ASU-UofA a big game.

They're big deals, but the 2010 versions of these games were hardly big games.

A matchup of 5-6 and 7-4 teams, with no conference championships or bowl invitations on the line, isn't a big game. It's a big deal to those in Arizona, but the game itself isn't all that big in the landscape of college football.

Honestly, the Duel in the Desert is a very underrated rivalry. If the two teams were more successful, it would definitely be up there with some of the best. Success has just been fleeting for both programs so the rivalry doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Trust me, if you lived in Arizona, you'd understand how important the rivalry is. When rivalry week rolls around, the Duel is life. There are no other concerns.

Thanks for nothing, Northern Illinois. God I hate Miami.

You laid the points, huh?

No I didn't gamble on the game. Miami is our biggest rival and everyone I know who goes there is an unbearable snob. I hate them more than that Kevin dude hates Arizona State.

That's what you get when you play 9 conference games instead 8. With out that extra non-conference beat down the Pac-10 loses out on more bowl opportunities.

IF LIFE THROWS YOU A LEMON.............KICK IT'S :censored:ING ASS!

We'll be playing hungry, which is much more playing than ASU will be doing. That makes any team dangerous, which is more than can be said about ASU this bowl season.

Congratulations. We'll take back what's rightfully ours next year.

Wow. A fanbase even more annoying and arrogant than Ohio State's. Who would have guessed?

Do you refuse to refer to them by their proper nickname? I only refer to ASU as the Scum Devils.

That was not just Zendejas' fault. Put some blame on the entire special teams unit. Put some blame on the DBs for dropping at least four sure interceptions. Put some blame on Stoops for not going for two.

Stoops does actually blame himself for that last one.

Maybe I went a little far in criticizing Zendejas. Still though, just pathetic. Also late in the game 4th and 1, and you can't even get ONE yard? Like I said earlier, we should've gone for two on the final play.

I really didn't know that there was this much heat between ASU fans and UofA fans.

Gotta love these underrated rivalries.

Seriously, go to Tempe for the game next year and watch some UA and ASU fans interact. It is pure unabated hatred. It's not a respectful rivalry at all.

I call them the Redskins instead of Redhawks. The racism so perfectly matches that environment they spread on that campus that it surprises me that they ever changed their nickname.

No, but that would be better than your constant blabbering about the rivalry with ASU. Your team lost. It's time to for you shut the :censored: up about it until next year.

Again...the game may be a big deal (as rivalry games are), but the game itself wasn't a "big game". Win or lose, Arizona State's season was ending that night. Win or lose, Arizona is going to a non-BCS bowl game. The game featured a 5-6 team and a 7-4 team, and no conference championship was on the line. On the national landscape, this is just a meaningless in-state rivalry game, just like last week's Georgia Tech-Georgia game was. That game is a big deal in the state of Georgia, but the game wasn't a big game to college football.

You understand that, Turd Ferguson?

You're not as angry as you could be at Miami because deep down, you know this is all OU's fault. You're mad because OU didn't even show up to their last game to choke away their opportunity be in the MAC championship. You're upset because thanks to their zero touchdown, 4 turnover performance in a 22 point loss to a sub .500 Kent State, OU cost themselves the shot. So I'm going to take this time to extend my thanks to the Bobcats. Without that brilliant performance against Kent, I wouldn't have had an excuse to drink too much and be hungover right now. :P

Rivalry hate tossed, a win's a win's a MAC championship! The team this year is living proof that sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. I have my doubts about how long it'll last and how long Haywood will stay if it does, but since it's the only team I root for that is showing any positive signs I'll celebrate for as long as I can!

I know this is OU's fault and that's what irks me the most. We had a chance to be in that game and instead we didn't show up at Kent and handed it to our biggest rivals. That's why it's so annoying. If we put Akron or Temple in the game then I wouldn't be as crabby, but it was GD Miami and my facebook feed blew up.
