The colours are good, but it doesn't scream "FALL CLASSIC" like MLB likes to do with the WS logos.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

That's actually the point. I wanted to bridge the gap from the early 2000's WS logos to the more recent Fall Classic styled logos.

I tried to get away from that because I'm not a fan of the past 4 or so logos. The addition of the whole fall classic thing and the mostly autumn based colors always seemed a little cheesy to me.

I might be holding my laptop crooked, but something feels off-balance here.

I also think that you need something at the top. It looks too much like a jeweler's diamond and less like a baseball diamond.

I think what's causing this illusion is the fact that the last S in "SERIES" comes over further than the first S. I don't really know what you could do to address this; perhaps just moving the word "SERIES" to the left a little? But that might make it look off-balanced as well.

solid concept. check your kerning and remove the shading from "series" or use a much lighter color. i would also remove the shading from the ball, and im not sure the ball even needs to be there. the yellow part is a bit too close to the MLB logo too, open up that space to relieve some visual tension. i would also suggest exploring something to place at the top where 2nd base would be
