CrazyAnna Posted January 7, 2012 Share Posted January 7, 2012 I flipped one of our TV's at the bar to ESPN2 and NDSU (North Dakota State University) is on and they are wearing yellow helmets/yellow jersey/green pants. Yea, that may seem ugly when you picture it in your mind, but it looks amazing on TV. The first thing I thought was THIS would be a great "fun" uniform color combination for a Packers 3rd uniform. I don't know about the idea of the Packers using it, but I'd LOVE to see Oregon trot that out. Or maybe even the Edmonton Eskimos. The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. Regardless if that jersey represents the past, it just doesn't properly translate into the current uniform templates. Spearhead Posted January 7, 2012 Share Posted January 7, 2012 I watched that game on TV as well and NDSU's yellow over green looked like a semi-pro team.They also need to set their helmet decals off with white or green. They wore them in the national championship game out of superstition, having won in them in the previous weeks. Now that they won the championship in them, I'm sure you'll see lots more of it. I wouldn't want that as the permanent look for NDSU, but this has been a winning look.I do agree that the Bison on the helmet could be tweaked. Maybe make the rest of the body green. I don't know.
