What's wrong with this picture?

I remember the Super Bowl a couple years back in Tampa, they had the old Cardinals logos on most of the news stations, bothered the hell out of me.

A bit off topic, but related to this note specifically: the Pro Football HOF's site, in its profiles of former Cards and former Lions, still uses the teams' old logos. There's no good explanation for this, as the site uses current logos for all other teams. Come to think of it, it's probably just because those two franchises were the last ones to make noticeable changes to their logos, and the Hall had stopped caring at some point after Atlanta's change in 2003. It especially bugs me because the newer logos for those clubs are much better than the old, at least IMO.

ESPN still uses the old Red Sox roundell logo which they dropped after 2008. How do these major TV stations not have access to top logo and uniform information?

The reason why they don't change is most people really don't care.

My fantasy teams: West Coast Cardinals (WRU), Glasgow Claymores (RLI) (Champions 2012) and Pemberton Foresters (VBL)

There is an absurdly large glass table behind him that cannot serve any purpose.

Their picture is of the old NFL shield...over a picture of a field...over some generic backsplash. All on a giant TV that probably weighs somewhere around 200 lbs and outdates the anchor.

The aforementioned TV appears to be on somebody's dresser.

The anchor's desk has what looks like 3 tiers, as the company doesn't have it in their 2012 budget for a 4th tier (as they spent it all on the oblong glass thing).

What do you mean by outdating the anchor?

Last year on at least one occasion I saw some TV network use the Metrodome-era Twins logo, instead of the slightly tweaked version they've used since moving to Target Field. The differences are subtle but definitely noticeable.

TV is probably older than the anchor

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Here's an egregious example, straight from the LEAGUE - if you google Washington Wizards, the mini NBA.com schedule for the Wizards that comes up at the top of the Google search uses the old Wizards alternate logo.

For the first year the Hawks had their current logo and colors, CSN in Washington would still use their old red/yellow/black logo for their graphics.

Also, I remember a couple of years ago, Yahoo! sports was REALLY outdated for their logos... after the first year the Raptors ditched purple (including from their primary), Yahoo! Sports still had their page mainly purple. They also used the purple Bucks logo occasionally long after the Bucks switched to red.

Something as pointless and arbitrary getting it's own thread?

Well, it is a message board mostly devoted to sports logos...

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)
