Spearhead
An Idea to distinguish UGA from the Green Bay oval G:Helmet:
vicfurth
Good idea. The "U" portion gives me a Colts vibe, though.
Lights Out
Way too close to the SEC's logo. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/
raysox
I actually REALLY like that. What I would do, is put a white outline around it all so you wouldn't have to change the letter colors based off what color it's over @MichaelDanger19Â | Dribbble
aawagner011
I would make all the letters black and place them in a outlining shape that contains all of the letters. I would make that shape white. This would give the feel of the current color distribution.
mattb6
pretty cool, but i feel a combo of colts and sec logo with its own twist
NatsFan2004
If Georgia had a horse as a mascot, I'd say this would work better but the outline really looks like a horseshoe. I'd cut off the bits at the top right and left and just make it a thicker U. I like the general concept, though!
Spearhead
The "outline" is the letter U as in University of Georga (UGA).The monogram with an outline:
JPDesign
It's better out of the circle for sure. It'd be a great faux back logo for them
bigmike
It's a nice logo but I agree that it's too similar to the SEC logo, it would be odd for one team in the conference to have a logo that looks just like the conf. logo. Cola
I don't think GA is necessary to represent Georgia. I think G is sufficient enough and while I never see Georgia actually adopting another primary logo, I think you would need to work out something with a lone G. Dark Horse
Agreed with Cola. No need for GA. However, I LOVE the idea of this. I say you need to incorporate some white on the second logo you posted. Really cool work! The Only United Football League fan in the Universe.Ponies on Saturday. Football on Sunday. Noolish
I like it a lot, actually. I also like that it's similar to the SEC logo. A whole series of SEC inspired logos would be interesting, especially considering how much SEC fans care about their conference over rivalries. G is naturally round and would fit perfectly inside the U you've created.
