This weird love of Chris Andersen.

From tattooed freak, to child pornography, to Eastern Conference champion.....

I'm still unclear as to why this guy still gets praised by the fans.

Can't this go into the "Reasons Why the World is Going to Crap" thread?

And yet, somehow I doubt the Heat and their fans give two craps about the Celtics' ring count, especially since a significant portion of it was accumulated in the joke that was the pre-'80s NBA.

You can have your opinion and we have the right to ridicule it.

As for the Heat, they get the most coverage because they have the best player (Lebron), the best record, and are the defending champion.

So 8 champions in 30 years.....

real fun league you guys got here.

Eh, between '76 and '90, only three NHL teams were champion, so it does happen elsewhere.

Not to mention an entire conference getting shut out of Super Bowl championships for 13 straight years.

I stand by what I said.

All those leagues took measures to spread around things around.

Parity is a good thing, wish the NBA had more of it. On the other side, too much parity is a bad thing, and leagues such as the NHL should adjust accordingly.

Lack of parity could be dangerous thing for the survival of a league but dynasties work for the NBA. Some of the best ratings its ever gotten is when 80's Lakers went up against Celtics, Pistons back to back championships, Bulls dynasty, 2000 Lakers 3 peat and now Heat with their finals appearances.

Or maybe generally speaking fans just love dynasties..EPL is a good example of that. Anyways when Luxury Tax kicks in, it should be able to even out the playing field a little.

The Nuggets fired George Karl today. Denver managed to lose the reigning Executive of the Year and Coach of the Year in one offseason! The Kroenkes seem to be cheaping out with the Nuggets just like they've been criticized for doing with Arsenal.

I could see him going to the Clippers if Brian Shaw goes to the Nets, or vice versa.

Wow Denver you had SUCH a good thing going, what a way to screw it all up. I agree he will coach the clippers or nets next year.

Good thing going? The Nuggets have only gotten past the first round of the playoffs twice since 1994.

What what what the hell are the Nuggets thinking? Good Luck not making the playoffs next year.

I hope George Karl goes to Brooklyn

The Karl thing is a direct result of Ujiri leaving. Karl was pissed that they let him go.

So it was either keep him on one more year and then he leaves. Or just start fresh with everything right now.

They're still cheap though. To lose the executive of the year over $3 million a year is just absurd. Especially when you take into account they could have locked him up for half of that if they didn't wait to the last minute to try and resign him.

Again, Karl only got past the first round of the playoffs once in 8 full seasons as HC.

Karl is a regular-season coach. That's all he'll ever be.
