Even a stupid Florida-based franchise has more Cups than the Canucks.

That was a dumb comment to make.

What do you expect from Canucks fans?

I actually try to refrain from making sweeping statements about franchises.

As much as Boston and Philadelphia sports fans may annoy me at times, I know that the vast majority are legitimate passionate fans, not drunkards who are busy throwing batteries at J.D. Drew or wouldn't know who Lou Merloni is.

And, for as many Vancouver fans rioted after their Game 7 loss in 2011, I'm willing to be a significantly larger portion of their fanbase was disgusted with the actions of their peers.

I dunno. This is a community full of fans from basically every professional sports team in the U.S. and Canada. I don't see what the point is in reducing some fanbases to the lowest common denominator.

Because Stalberg talked back.

Southern California, Texas, and Carolina have more Cups than the Canucks. They have no room for banner counting, even if it is for a franchise they're bandwagoning. (and really, no bandwagoners should be banner counting. Stupid notion.)

Oh and LETS GO HAWKS!

Interesting adjustment on NBC's scorebug. We mentioned a few times that NBC has continued to use Purple for the Kings instead of black or silver because of clashing. Well NBC is using a white background on the Red Wings part of the bug (I guess so it's not Red vs Red) and using black text, instead of the normal color/white text.

Wow, jumped on that Wings bandwagon pretty quickly. ;)

Not cheering for Detroit, cheering against Chicago. There's a difference. I could care less if Detroit wins another cup and would rather it didn't happen. But if it's between them and Chicago, go Wings.

Vancouver: 0.

If they could've made it red text (with full understanding that red on white might be difficult on the eyes) I'd be ok with it.

As it is, it's just generic. I'd rather the Wings usual red/white be there, even if Chicago gets the same treatment. NBC has aired a few Wings/'Hawks games in the past couple years, so it's not as if they haven't had to deal with similarities there before.

So let me get this straight: the Canucks were swept out by the Sharkies, yet you jump ship on the Chicago/Detroit series?

Either you just despise the 'Hawks, or your priorities are messed up.
