Since there's been a lot of discussion about branding over at the PantherU forums lately, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone's favorite logos and overall brands are amongst the programs that aren't in so-called "power conferences."

Long Beach and North Dakota State are two of my favorites.

I was gonna post North Dakota State too. It's my favorite. Great logos and a great color scheme that is greatly underused in sports.

I thought the Elsie-the-cow Bison up and to the left of the word 'NORTH' was slightly revised a year or two ago...unless that's the revision there. It looks funny to me though.

Once upon a time, the Long Beach State baseball team had to practice on a poorly-maintained, very dirty field off-campus.

They'd come back to campus covered in dirt, and from this, the team became nicknamed "dirtbags" and it stuck.

Talk about run of the mill Phoenix piece, you got City Bold with a bevel and a over detailed animal.

No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms.
