jkrdevil
Did anybody see Tortorella's press conference after the game (they had on the CBC postgame). Talk about frustration he refused to answer some questions and then told the NY Post's Larry Brooks to "get the out of there." It looks like the Devils have the Lightning right where they want them. The stunts that Tampa pulled out there at the end of the game by going after Greene and Langenbrunner was classless and a sign of frustration. It reminded me of last year when Jagr chased Jay Pandolfo all over the ice and then took a swipe at Gomez (separating his shoulder). As far as Tortorella goes if the Lightning get smoked in Game 6 I would fire him. He seems to be on the classic path of a coach losing a team with his antics the last 2 years. I remember he almost lost the team early last season, then there was the goaltending stuff last year in the playoffs. Then this past game he dressed Fedotenko but didn't play him 1 second and now this press conference. He has never had a good relationship with Lecavalier and it just seems like it is only a matter of time before that team quits on him. Might as well get rid of him before it is too late. HedleyLamarr
I wonder how much longer Trotz will be in Nashville. This is the second year in a row where they got cold in the last month of the regular season and lose in the first round in 5 games. This wasn't the same Predators team I saw in December and January, who were skating all over the league. HedleyLamarr
Considering that Trotz has been there since the beginning, I respect the ownership for letting Trotz build the team from the ground up.He's going to have to change that 4-12 record in the playoffs, though. They have some hardcore fans...but you have to at least semi-agree that a fickle southern market won't put up with, what, the 3rd best team in the league tanking twice?Perhaps a more stable market's fanbase could put up with this...but Nashville NEEDED the Preds to go deep into the post-season this year...
