McCall Posted March 17, 2007 Share Posted March 17, 2007 It was about 2 0'clock this morning and I just wasn't tired enough to go to sleep, so I started working on a script for the Arizona Diamondbacks...just for the hell of it, I guess...I then was gonna try and come up with an A with the snake coiled around one side then going across to the other side to form the bar. I decided to draw the snake head used in the updated "D-Snake" logo to get a start. Once I drew the head, I just kinda saw this in my mind and went with it. It's not perfect. It's done on notebook paper. And most importantly, it was done at 2AM. But I just wanted to get some feedback so far. Later on, if I ever get Illustrator again I'll try and perfect it a little more. Here goes:There are a few things I'm gonna work on changing. One, I kinda what to raise up the point above the head where the middle of the A meets. A few others, too, once I get the chance.Here is a quick color update I did in Paint. I stress QUICK. I don't have much time, but it kinda gives you and idea of how I'm seeing once it's completed.And the colors are NOT the D'backs pantone specific colors. Naw, that is frickin sweet, dude. Pretty much what I envisioned. I like the eyes and tongue red, may change the eye back to black, but I don't know, almost like it better like this. I kinda did with part of it on this, but I figured since he was gonna send it to me without it anyway, I'd go ahead. This is done in paint, so it was pretty quick. Since this was in fact StPatty33's work, any concept I use this logo on, hat, uni, etc., I will give equal credit to him.....if I ever DO get to do more with this. Do you scan it or paste the image of the scan into Photoshop or Illustrator? I used to love doing graphic stuff on these boards when I didn't have a job (hahaha), but I've been too busy for the last year or so to stay active. I saw this logo concept and had to come out of semi-retirement for a day lol.Buckeyes and Slabov, It looks like McCall scanned the picture in. I simply copied the image he had scanned, and pasted it into Illustrator CS2. Then I traced over it in detail using the Pen tool. The below to be updated once the newest banner is raised!
