The way it's placed on the hem doesn't look right, though. If it really needed to be there (it should be on the inside collar), then at least place it up a bit like the old maker's mark.

Well, at least they didn't use the Sacramento Kings logo. The crown looks so weird in gold.

Adidas/NHL adding the black tab on the back of the hem on jerseys promoting their new recycled jerseys. If I was going to buy a new jersey, that's the first thing to go, just like how I took off the jock tag on my Reebok jersey.

So it begins. On home and alternates, so there could be a different sponsor for the roads.

BC Place in Vancouver, home to the Whitecaps and BC Lions of the CFL. Off to the right is Rogers Arena, home of the Canucks.

The only thing I really don't like are the elbow patches. Why ruin a pretty decent looking jersey with those goofy looking things. Would have preferred an actual logo, too.

Experimental is one thing, but it still should look good. If fans are expected to shell out $150-200 or more for them, it shouldn't end up on an ugliest jersey of all-time list.

Yikes. Yet, it wouldn't have surprised me one bit if a team under Reebok/Adidas whipped something like this crap out for a Stadium series.

Could the Wild teaser be an update on their home jersey instead of an alternate or the winter classic? The stripe pattern is similar to their current home. Wouldn't make sense to have an alternate or the WC jersey have the same pattern.

The Kachina is unofficially, officially the Coyotes logo. Everything points towards it becoming the primary. My guess will be that they make it official when training camp starts. NHL.com will make the change after that.

The Avalanche should have just stuck with the black numbers/pants/gloves with the white jersey. They match the burgundy much better than the blue equipment. For the home, they can use the blue helmet/pants. With some teams having different pants/glove for their alternate jerseys, I don't see this being a big problem, unless they are worried about somehow packing the wrong set for a player or two.

Obviously not going to happen based on the tweet from the last page, but I would have liked it if the Wild wore their original green jersey for the Winter Classic instead of coming up with some faux back. Not even a Wild fan, but I feel it's a little underrated. I guess it's not vintage enough or wouldn't match up well against whatever the Blues are going to wear.

I just read a story that the Panthers had planned to dump their original colour scheme and go with the double blue in 2010, but Dale Talon and Bill Torrey hated it and the change never happened. My mistake. I guess they either don't think anyone would notice, or maybe there is a bigger change coming next year, so let's just use the same pants for now.

They are keeping the EE logo around as a secondary. I hope next year, (or within the next couple of years) they actually make more changes to the uniform.

So the lack of helmet stripes for the Lions was a training camp thing. As the regular season is about to start, the stripes are back on.

I blame Reebok. Before they became the supplier, as far as I can remember, CFL teams never looked remotely close to each other. Reebok also screwed up the NHL with their Edge madness. Even the teams that kept their classic look, like the Rangers, Red Wings, and Blackhawks, had to deal with the stupid curved hem.

The Howler doesn't really fit with any of the Kachina jerseys. In a few years (if they are still around), the original Howler set can be brought back as a vintage set, which then becomes so popular, it becomes the regular set again.

Considering it isn't a brand new, never seen before jersey, I don't think they will make the announcement until just before the season starts.

I wonder how much does that have to do with just how ugly the now old set was? I have always found the throwbacks to be too drab, but even I would take it over the mess they are ditching.
