  1. Coyotes should switch their primary colour to purple.
  2. Does look really good. But, I don't think they need to drop black completely. Just tone it down a bit. Use black as trim like when Doug Flutie played for them.
  3. Not sure if it's a training camp thing, but the Lions have ditched the helmet stripes.
  4. If it is green, I think that's pretty smart. Have similar colours, yet still be able to have their own identity different from the parent club. Would also like to see the Canucks use green for an alternate.
  5. They've got merchandise with that logo on their website now. Could be just for that.
  6. I asked her where she got that jersey from. It belongs to her boyfriend and it's custom made.
  7. Whether that jersey is legit or not, seeing this makes me wonder why more teams didn't go with a collar like it is on this jersey. Looks so much better than what most teams went with. Ottawa did it half way on their Centennial Classic jersey, which looked ridiculous. The lighthouse doesn't look too bad on the front on the jersey. Also, not completely sure, but that might just be Steven Tyler's daughter.
  8. Saw this on an Devils fan page on instagram. The Binghamton Devils were supposed to wear these as an alternate this past season. They played their homes games in Newark this year and since they are moving to Utica for next season, these will never be worn. The picture is off of ebay.
  9. Does anyone know who actually makes the decision of which jersey the team wears? Is it the owner or the players? GM? With Pittsburgh, they are probably going with some yellow towels or t-shirts for the fans, so I get why they would wear the yellow alternates. The other teams, I have no idea why.
  10. Dallas' current look is fine, but I still don't understand why they dropped gold from their colour scheme. Maybe they should have dropped the black and kept the gold, instead.
  11. Sergei Gonchar won the Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins, but spent 10 seasons with the Washington Capitals, mostly in the Screaming Eagle jersey. However, he did wear the original set. Also, he's mostly known for wearing number 55, but he also worn 17 and 38 with the Capitals while wearing the original set.
  12. Another one of Tampa's ring with the explanations.
  13. San Jose Barracudas and Henderson Silver Knights wear mismatch socks to raise awareness for Rock You Socks for World Down Syndrome Day on Mar 21.
  14. With fans in the building for the first time since winning the Stanley Cup, the Tampa Bay Lightning finally raised their Stanley Cup banner. Too bad they were wearing their glorified practice jerseys for the game.
  15. Wayne Gretzky played for 4 teams, too, but are you going to argue that him in a Blues uniform isn't wrong. It's not like Chara is going to play another 10 years as a Capital. He's probably done after this season or at the very least, within the next couple of seasons.
  16. CCM was sold off by Adidas in 2017 to a private Canadian equity firm, Birch Hill Equity Partners.
  17. The logo looks pretty good and the colour combo, but the rest of it isn't very good.
  18. Is that an Adidas jersey made by CCM? Who would have thought going with the Adidas collar would be the better choice.
  19. True. I don't mind it either way, but I can see why they might have done it, just to match the home. Consider it a minor tweak/update on their old look. Kinda like how Calgary's hem striping on the home isn't quite the same as the original.
  20. The contrasting name plate started back in the 70's. There's a couple of different explanations I have found online. One is that for the playoffs, both teams needed to wear them for TV. The other is that NBC were doing a game of the week and asked both teams have name plates. I don't know if both reasons are one and the same. Since the Flyers didn't have orange name plates, they stuck the white ones on their road jerseys. This picture is from the 73-74 season. So, there is some history behind the contrasting name plate for the Flyers. Any other team that is does it, does it just for the gimmick.
  21. Dave Winfield for DH? I have no idea what position he played for them, but his name just popped up.
  22. I have never seen the Stanley Cup champs getting a title belt (that's not from the WWE) to go along with the Stanley Cup. I have no idea if this was something Tampa Bay made up, which would be pretty presumptuous of them, or this was something the NHL made up.
  23. Home, road, both...doesn't matter, but Blue Jays current powdered blue.
