  1. Alternates can be worn a total of 15 games. I think that includes a permanent alternate and a vintage jersey or outdoor game jerseys. Four games is probably the minimum number a jersey must be worn. As for the Leafs new alt...glad I'm not a Leafs fan. As other have said, as a fashion jersey only, okay. As a one off, maybe. But as a full time alternate, nope.
  2. Grizzlies vs Thunder had both teams ready for the tip off wearing their white uniforms. Grizzlies then changed into their blue uniforms. I say they should have let them play on with both wearing white.
  3. I don't think it's a new alternate jersey. I just don't see the Leafs using a black jersey, even for an alternate. As a fashion jersey, especially if it is a collab with OVO, then I can see that happening. Could be just a custom jersey Bieber had gotten made up for himself. But, I would almost put money down that it is a collab with OVO now. The Leafs did one with Bieber last year.
  4. I don't see anything. Can somebody repost the Bieber picture or point me in the right direction.
  5. Could the next gen thing be a OVO collab? OVO did come out with a hockey collection with Sherwood recently and of course, there's the existing relationship between MLSE and Drake.
  6. If I was a Lightning fan and wanted the throwback, the white thread around the collar would eat away at me. Why does it need to be like that?
  7. A Taiwanese electronics chain has a pretty similar logo. The 6 is not part of the logo and I have no idea what it says. If the Street Fighter 6 logo wasn't a place holder logo before, it has to be now. They need to go back to the old style.
  8. If the jersey is different enough and looks good, I can't see that being a big issue. Plus, they could always drop the current black skate for a year or two, then come back to it later on, or even break out the white version.
  9. I know everything for the RR jerseys are probably all done for next year and the Canucks are likely to go with blue and green colour scheme, I wouldn't mind in the future if the Canucks can do anything with this logo. Still intrigues me to as why this logo was painted in the halls of the Canucks old home. Okay. No more Canucks talk. Let's talk about the Nordiques.
  10. Arizona Cardinals X Calgary Flames
  11. That same Post2post guy who hinted the Islanders were going with the Fisherman, also suggested the Oilers were going with the McFarlane jersey for their RR, the Bruins are going with a bear (so Meth Bear?), and most interesting of all, the Canadiens will have an Expos theme jersey. If Montreal really is going with an Expos theme, regardless if whether it looks good or not, then maybe not every team should have a RR jersey.
  12. Took me a while, but I finally noticed the random red stripes on the black jersey under the armpit. Let's take them off the hem and just stick them there. Why not? And, this goes for all countries, but I really wish the numbers were taken off the shoulders and placed down in their normal spot. I know this has been happening for 15-20 years now, but it still bugs me. I say that international jerseys have been downhill since 2002, with 2010 Olympics being the lone exception.
  13. Only time this would be feasible would be the playoffs. The other team wouldn't need to go through the hassle of carrying two sets of uniforms. If it were ever an option, the Jets should definitely wear their whites at home for the playoffs because of the whole white out thing they do.
  14. If not for family reasons, Duncan Keith would probably have spent his entire career with the Chicago Blackhawks.
  15. Read on a Reddit post that Telus is only for the road.
  16. Not sure if it's every team, but seems like a couple BCHL teams have put the 60th year patch on the back on the jersey on the left hem. Really dumb placement, especially since they easily could have swapped out the BCHL logo, which is on the right chest, for it. A Chevy ad patch is on the left chest, so it couldn't have gone there.
  17. More of Sportsnet new graphics. Their nightly News show also rolled out the new look after Thanksgiving.
  18. Canucks have TD as their new helmet sponsor.
  19. Chrome helmets and white gloves need to go the way of the dodo bird.
  20. No longer there, but Empire Stadium, the original home of the Vancouver Whitecaps and BC Lions, was built next to a residential area, and the PNE fair and an amusement park. There isn't a lot of parking there, so you would have nearby residents selling parking spots in their backyard. When the Vancouver Whitecaps joined MLS and BC Place was getting renovated, a temporary home, Empire Field was built where the original stadium was. The Lions also played out of there.
  21. I am not against the manufacturer's tag being on the jersey. Adidas tag is already on the back of the collar. However, I just don't like how it was placed right at the bottom of the hem. Maybe, if had been moved up a little, it would not look as out of place as I think it does. I also don't particularly think the tag is necessary at all. It's great that the jerseys are made out of recycled materials, but nobody is going out of their way to buy or not buy a hockey jersey for that reason.
  22. Because the placement looks bad on the jersey. Granted, if one didn't already know it was there, you probably wouldn't even notice it. And, as for making it inauthentic, does that mean I should stitch on ad patches when that starts happening to make sure it's as authentic as to the on ice jerseys?
