  1. I don't know if it's just me, but this 90's nostalgia is starting to get kinda old.
  2. Hopefully it's with the old color scheme and block numbers.
  3. Activity involving physical exertion*? Check. Competing against other individuals for the same goal? Check. Purely for entertainment? Check. By definition, this thread is a sport. *(no one said how much...using your fingers to type and scroll is exerting physical energy.)
  4. A while back someone posted Larry Fitgerald in a recolored Jags uniform and it looked perfect. Simple enough to blend in with Cardinals history, but modern enough to be more than a throwback or "practice jersey". EDIT: after some digging, I found the post. Shoutout @Bathysphere
  5. Then again, the only uniform change the Pats had made in over 20+ years was the wordmark on the jersey. They don't have as much practice at this stuff.
  6. I think you're in the wrong section, bub. General Design is that way.
  7. Does Simmons have any kids? Seems kinda random for him to be in a candy store in a mall mid-offseason. I'm not knocking it, but it just seems a little odd.
  8. The NFLPA is most definitely going to appeal and go the route of "he already sat the entire year last year, and it would be bad for the league to have a star out for almost two whole years", but this is about as close as we're going to get for justice from the NFL. Still mind boggling that Calvin Ridley (betting on games while not apart of the team) got a whole year off-rip, while Deshaun Watson (sexually assaulting nearly 30 women) probably isn't even going to get those 11 games. PS. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I used to love watching Watson, Hopkins, Watt and the Texans circa 2018-2019, and I thought they would be an AFC powerhouse for years to come. Three years after an AFCCG appearance, and all three players are no longer in Houston, two of them are suspended, and the texans are fumbiling back into Nowhereville.
  9. So Brooklyn can roll out NJ throwbacks in back-to-back years and then proceed to release a 10-year anniversary logo? It's a good-looking logo, and clever use of the herringbone pattern, but this team needs to pick either 1967 (and embrace NJ history) or 2012 (and ignore everything across the river) as their starting date. Also, I second @CDCLTthat Memphis's bright teal returning would be splendiferous. We've already seen what it looks like paired with thier current navy blue and yellow, thanks to their City warmups from last year.
  10. "Copper" is the shade you see above. They changed it in 2007 to the "gold" shown below so that they could have the gold alternate jersey.
  11. So, quick question: now that Amazon Prime has Thursday Night Football, where does NBC go from here? Are they just gonna keep rocking with Sunday Night Football, a playoff game or two, and then the Super Bowl in 3 years?
  12. Yeah, I see your point. I originally though there was no copper on it until I saw the NBA Jersey Database's verion of it. Maybe if they used more of a yellow-er gold (like they used during the Arenas era), it could work, but as you mentioned, the jersey it too much as is. Ironically, the Magic suffer from that same issue: their identity looks too corporate.
  13. Fans of all 3 eras would be happy with this.
  14. You know, while this Washington set looks outlandish, one of the biggest problems is inconsistency. Say what you want about Tennesee, Atlanta and the NY Jets, while they definitely look horrid, their jerseys are consistent. They have terrible uniform sets, not 3 terrible jerseys.
  15. I felt like farming for likes today, so here's yet another photoshop of what WAS should've done. They could even keep the black number outlines.
  16. It's been mentioned here before, but most times when a thread gets JAX-jacked, we end up talking about how superior the original set is and how they need to go back to it.
  17. I don't like this move for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, it feels like they are blatantly copying the MLB with Jackie Robinson, and although Russell was a major pioneer for Black athletes, his contributions don't exactly match up 1:1 with Jackie's. Secondly, the #6 is such a commonly used number in basketball that it is just aesthetically wrong to do so, and the number has been used by many NBA greats, from Dr. J to Walter Davis to Ben Wallace to LeBron. Thirdly, as @BBTV pointed out, will teams like the Sixers and Magic who already retired #6 have to do so again, or will the requirement have already been met? Fourthly, they do this for Bill Russell but not Kobe Bryant, who's #24 is much more recognizable with said player than Russell and #6. Overall, kinda a minor league move by the NBA, IMO. We can celebrate Bill Russell without making him Jackie Robinson.
  18. A few more: Warriors 75th logo (2021/22) Celtics 75th logo (2021/22) Cavs 50th logo (2019/20) Rockets 50th logo (2016/17) Hawks 50th logo (2017/18)
  19. A handful of recent NBA anniversary logos: Kings 35th logo (2019/20) Suns 50th logo (2017/18) Magic 30th logo (2018/19) Blazers 50th logo (2019/20) Pacers 50th logo (2016/17)
  20. The problem lies with Pittburgh. Nike is just printing what the team gives them, similar to the 49ers. Nike has shown they can fit 3 stripes on a jersey, but in 2012, san fran's striping pattern was intentionally cut of by San Fran.
  21. Most teams that have relocated, from what I've seen, try to stay away from these sorts of things to avoid the fanbase starting an uproar about "You spent x years in this city and you're just gonna ignore us?!" (ie. Nets move to Brooklyn, circa 2012) OKC ignored their 10th anny. in 2018/19. Memphis celebrated 10 years in Memphis in 2010/11, then celebrated the franchise's 25th in 2019/20. Sacramento has only aknowledged thier time in California, with their 20th in '04/'05, 25th in '09/'10, 30th in '14/'15, and thier 35th in '19/'20.
  22. My only issue with this set is the color balance. Not enough of the yellow and red are distributed on the home and road, and none of the royal blue, yet there is an entire royal jersey which has one element in red and one in yellow. The Earned jersey did better with the color balance, but we saw that one for 20 games and that was it.
