So many trades, it's hard to keep up with, especially in the last several minutes (as I'm writing this).

  • Kevin Garnett goes back to Minnesota for Thaddeus Young
  • The Dragic brothers (or at least Goran) head to Miami for future draft picks and Danny Granger
  • Isaiah Thomas heads to Boston
  • Reggie Jackson may head to Detroit
  • Michael Carter-Williams goes from Philly to Milwaukee
  • George Karl and Andre Miller will be re-united in Sacramento, as the Kings send Ramon Sessions to D.C.

Wow, so Andre is finally a King, huh? His cousin was my old room mate and we'd always joke about how he's gonna end up stuck back in Sacramento one day. I'm excited about that move simply for that.

Not sure if it's news to you guys because I don't come in here often, but the Wolves are working to bring Garnett back to Minnesota to finish his career. Thaddeus Young would get sent to Brooklyn.

Looks like the Nets are also in the process of shipping Brooke Lopez to OKC.

With Barry Zito an Oakland Athletic, Torri Hunter a Minnesota Twin, LeBron James a Cleveland Cavelier, and Kevin Garnett possibly a Minnesota Timberwolve, I'm struggling to remind myself that the year is 2015, and we haven't gone back in time.

And don't forget Tayshaun Prince to the Pistons!

Two more last-minute trades: Norris Cole goes from Miami to New Orleans for John Salmons; Tayshaun Prince goes back to Detroit.

I think Salmons ended up in Phoenix in a 3-team deal.

Dragic, Wade, Deng, Bosh, and Whiteside.

Not a bad starting 5 for a lower seed.

So let me get this straight. We trade DJ Augustin, Kyle Singler, Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome (doesn't really matter) for Reggie Jackson and Tayshaun Prince?

Augustin and Jackson are essentially the same player. Sure Jackson grabs a few more boards, but who cares with Drummond and Monroe. We just threw in a bonus in Singler?

Was Joe Dumars back in the GM's office today?

You're correct; here's the breakdown according to the NBA.com trade deadline blog:

Miami gets Goran and Zoran Dragic

Phoenix gets Danny Granger, John Salmons, Justin Hamilton, 2 first-round picks

New Orleans gets Norris Cole, Shawne Williams

John Salmons- the human trading card.

Grantland/ESPN's Zach Lowe called that trade last week on Simmons' Feb. 14 podcast.

But also of course George Karl was going to pick up Andre Miller. It had to be.

I'm really happy for MCW. Philadelphia is a garbage franchise and Jason Kidd is turning into a good coach. He's got a lot of development opportunity and is playing with a decent core of young players that are being given a chance to succeed. Carter-Williams is a bad shooter, but that's Philadelphia's fault for asking him to score. His skills were always passing and defense, and if he can focus on that and leave the scoring to Jabari and Giannis, then the Bucks might be pretty good sooner than later.

For the offseason, keep in mind Excel Sports Management since the Bucks got two of their players: MCW and Ennis. Jason Kidd is represented by them as well.
