Kentucky just extended the contract of Mark Stoops to 2020 and raised his base salary from $2.2 million to $3.225 million going from dead last in the SEC to the 6th highest. The chart below details the SEC coaching salaries before this latest extension:

Stoops announced at the press conference that his assistants would also be receiving raises in the near future.

And he failed to cover at Mizzou getting 7.5 with a great chance for a backdoor cover.

Now 2-12 in conference.

Yeah and your point is what? Stoops is in his second year and no one expects miracles to happen over night. In the two years he has been at UK he has changed the culture and started to get recruits and it will take him another two years to get the program in a position to fight for the East. They played like crap today, there is not excuse, but the majority of the starters were recruited by Joker Phillips and we have not fully seen what will happen once we have his players in uniform.

I bet no one thought Maryland would be 6-3 at this point in the season... 2-2 in the conference (which I think was a pretty fair expectation)

smile_while_looking_down.gif

Maryland: 4-1 Leading the Big Ten East

Remaining schedule:

Ohio State

Iowa

Wisconsin

Penn State

Michigan State

Michigan

Rutgers

I see wins against Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, Rutgers

Losses against Wisconsin, Michigan State

Toss up: Ohio State

I chose toss up for the Ohio State game for two reasons:

1) It's a home game for Maryland

2) Hell why not an upset

Your reaction better be worth me spending 15 minutes digging back through the thread to find that post.

My point is that the university or athletic assoc. decided to reward a coach who is not a winner.

In fact, he has won less than another Power 5 coach who received an extension himself in Kingsbury.

The main reason they gave him a raise was to keep in Lexington as rumors have been spreading throughout the town that Michigan may be calling. I believe Mitch Barnhardt did the right thing by giving him the raise and extension. You have to spend money to make money and Big Blue Nation is doing the right thing on this one.

Technically I've been correct for the most part with all the predictions but yes I'm surprised you actually dug through some posts to find this lol

Your school (UK);"rewarded" a loser due to an agent doing his job by creating a story. As if that Stoops or even Butch Jones are within a Michigan "top 5".

I didn't think this weekend was bad enough for Ohio State and Illinois to be the Saturday Night football matchup.

And yeah, that's gotta be a gut-wrencher for Ole Miss.

If conferences and networks use a 12 day window for games this week (two Mondays out) then scraps are left.

You think you can win a bidding war with Michigan. Really.

LOLNO.

The Sun Devils offense looks like absolute crap. I honestly think they may be better off with Bercovichi in than Kelly.
