dbadefense1990
Yikes. I'm bummed we're not getting hockey here, but at least we have a functioning police force.Good night and good luck, Glendale.Knowing the sheer incompetence by all running the Coyotes, maybe it was a blessing that this franchise isn't going up to the Northwest. The_Admiral
In five the years the NHL will have (idiotically) expanded to Seattle and Quebec City, leaving the Coyotes no place to go when this whole thing (inevitably) caves in on itself. Well done Commissioner, well done.Is Kansas City still wanting a team?Never did. Well done Commissioner, well done.Is Kansas City still wanting a team? Not really. They seem kinda content with the Sprint Center being a general events facility. Besides, between the KC Scouts and assorted exhibitions, hockey interest just doesn't seem to be all that much in Kansas City. I'd sooner guess a team found its way to Houston, but I'm not going to place favourable odds on that either.
DustDevil61
Well, good luck Glendale...you're going to need it. So, what happens to Glendale when they go broke? Become desert, or get merged into Peoria?Actually, that's pretty brilliant...Peoria/Avondale/Scottsdale/etc. citizens aren't supporting the Coyotes at Glendale's expense; they're supporting expanding their city boundaries! rams80
So if we're going the arena league route, which team ends up on ebay only to then be folded by the league because the sale price was a quarter that of an expansion fee?And it doesn't have to be the Coyotes. Kramerica Industries
I remember the good admiral mocking Sharks (whateverthehell) guy Brodie Brazil. Add this to his ledger:brodiebrazilCSNCan't imagine the fate of your team being determined by a city council vote. Good news: the #coyotes are staying in AZ by a 4-3 count.Sharks and 'Yotes are still in the same division, right? Enjoy going to the desert and getting owned by Mike Smith three-six times a season again.
cmm
If you abstain, does it count as an automatic yes vote?Nope, it means you didn't want to vote either way and it gets thrown outThat question was asked by one of the council members. Guess which way he voted on the Coyotes lease.
