that stuff rarely works out, and you don´t build team chemistry with a translator tagging along, correct me if i am wrong but i don´t think Darvish over in Texas speaks english even after several years

.

so all those players from Latin American...? Or is the chemistry thing just because he's Korean?

most of them speak english, or if not, there are others who speak spanish

Forgive me for being excited about a reasonably priced, low-risk high-reward deal that my team just made. Apparently that's not allowed anymore.

Think the Orioles should stop being so damn cheap and resign Chris Davis, instead of pretending to the fans that they give a :censored: about winning.

I absolutely agree, they need to spend on someone (maybe not even Davis). But that doesn't have anything to do with the Kim deal being a bad one imo.

i might rather have pedro alvarez+chen than davis.

Pedro might be defensively horrific, but a mostly full time DH and Trumbo at 1B can hold the O's until Mancini is ready to take over, perhaps halfway through the season

According to ESPN, Daniel Murphy has headed to the Mets' biggest competitors in the NL East, the Nationals, on a three year deal.

Then they should resign Cespedes

Not when the owners are Fred Coupon and Jeff Wilponzi

What about the 3rd owner: David Foodstamp

.

And I heard that this is the new Mets logo for next season:

Oh no, I just mean that the Yankees current trend of stockpiling back of the bullpen help reminds me of the Sixers drafting three centers in three years. Obviously not exactly the same, but an interesting comparison IMO. Seems a bit strange to have THREE different closers (Betances could be a closer on most teams I think), no matter how good they all are. Especially when their rotation is a shaky Tanaka followed by some meh and a few guys off the street.

Well if it makes the kick any softer, it was still an awesome write up! :P

And he's completely right about what he wrote. That Yankees all-time bullpen is absolutely amazing, and that would be a good comparison to the Lakers and their overall history with centers.

I can't remember the Manning part all that well but basically yeah, who really cares that he used?

I think you're one of the best serious posters on the board. You should consider doing offbeat thought experiments in the Lounge just to see what comes of it.

I can see pmoehrin being the Chuck Klosterman to the admiral's Bill Simmons.
