It's worth mentioning that this was done ahead of the Brooklyn move some years back and as such the tip of the "I" points to the location of Barclays Center, rather than Nassau Coliseum. 

 

But otherwise it's a simple mod that most people wouldn't even notice.

The Rams and Niners, but especially the Rams HATED going to Green Bay.  I did the math once and IIRC, 70% of Niners road games against the Packers were in Milwaukee. For the Rams, it was 85% and even included the 1967 playoff tilt between the two.

Good catch. The fact that they went under in November 1954 gives them an 'overlap' with the Orioles, thus Baltimore has been a constant big league city since the 1940s.  I've adjusted the list accordingly.

 

Also in this third post in the topic, I described my feelings on the Milwaukee 'gap' that I was letting slide. After the post by NicDB in which he described the fact that the Packers were playing in Milwaukee in the pre-WWII years, I feel much better about the "gap" in Milwaukee between the Braves and Bucks as they STILL had the Packers playing IN TOWN during that phase.

Wasnt intending to take over the thread but had no idea how else to post it and didnt think it was worth a new thread.

 

As for the Phillies/Blue Jays and even the Quakers names, from what i read up on was that the Quakers and Phillies name was used interchangibly until 1889 and in 1890 it was just Phillies from then on. There's conflicting reports from the Phillies themselves that the Blue Jays name was never official but other news sources from the Phillies at that time stated the names were used interchangibly. Whether official or not I included it.

One change you might want to consider, but it's completely your call -- the NFL Dallas Texans were based in Hershey, PA for the last half of the 1952 season, though they played all of their games on the road after leaving Dallas (unless you count a "home" game in Akron -- so maybe they belong in Ohio).

I can understand inclusion of all the now non-existent leagues that were either direct predecessors (BAA for example), or competitor leagues which eventually put teams in the primary league (ABA, AFL, WHA). But some of the leagues you listed have NO LINEAGE CONNECTION to the existing league (while the NPSAL and USA led to the NASL, the NASL has no linear connection to MLS.  The Federal League has no linear connection to the two current MLB leagues,  nor does the AFL 1 or AFL III have any linear connection to the NFL.)

Now, I would leave off brief one-shots like the XFL (I and II) and the AAF, as well as the WLAF/NFL Europa, which as a type of developmental league for the NFL was clearly a form of a minor league.  I would also leave off Arena Football, as it was and is a joke.  But by your system, I would definitely include the WFL and USFL in your lists.
