GDAWG
I have one rule for myself when it comes to the playoffs: I never pick against Tom Brady anymore. All the times I have picked against him, I have been burned, so I have decided to always pick him when it comes to the playoffs. That's why I think the Bucs win, because of TB12, who will probably return in 2023.

All I have to say to that is this: SCOREBOARD! SCOREBOARD!! Also, Detroit should have beaten Seattle so that tiebreaker doesn't go against them.

Anytime their team loses (even if it's 38-0), the loss is 100% the referees' fault and has nothing to do with the players and coaching.. Win the the game on the field. Dominate the opponent. Take the game out of the refs' hands. 2 2
Rockstar Matt
I understand that was Purdy's first ever drive in the playoffs, but that whole series showed why he's going to be the reason that the 49ers don't win a championship this season. That should have been a pick-6 at the end of it. The knock on him coming out of college was that he had basically no arm talent and that was evident on that drive. What's going to happen when San Francisco finally plays a team that has a defense capable of slowing down that potent running game? When a defense is good enough to force Purdy to make plays downfield? I think people trying to say he'll be the starter next year are getting a little too caught up in the moment. A healthy Trey Lance would make this Niners team the runaway favorites, IMO. 1 Quote Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

You play against ONE team, not two. And you only have to end up with one more point to win the game, and you should never have to adjust your game plan to account for refereeing incompetence that you know will eventually kill you (or, help you.) I don't get the tough-guy attitude of "if they really wanted to win, they'd have dominated". Nuts to that. 8 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." It would probably stun some people, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Seattle win today. Niners D doesn’t look all that sharp (the rain isn’t helping) and Purdy has thrown some miserable looking ducks so far. I think people are overestimating what this team is capable of. Edit: Aaaand now Seattle has the lead 2 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Being a player, coach, fan requires you to accept this and if doesn't break you way, well tough. Every team has been screwed. Every team has benefitted from a screw. But cry more about the zebras if you must. Go on.
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans
Hawks are buoyed by their swank white over grey set. They look so awesome in this uniform. Also, we should expect good reffing, especially in close games. Vegas lines are within 3 to 5, not 10 to 14. There's an assumption games will be within a score. "Here's how you tackle... but maybe not... depends on the ref, and we don't know until after you do it." Absurd take. Never got the attitude of blaming things on the refs if the players fall short. Typically it comes from the sorts of people who blame everyone else but themselves from when I’ve seen my fanbase do it. Should refs get better training? Yeah, they probably should. But somehow I don’t think that will satisfy the insatiable. Edited January 14, 2023 by Red Comet
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans
The NBA does a summary of what the refs got wrong each game. They admitted to missing a(n egregious) foul call on LeBron that would have allowed him to shoot free throws to go ahead. Instead, the Lakers lost. Good reffing matters most in close games. And that's also where bad reffing is most exposed. 2 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
Rockstar Matt
Seattle is playing well. Even though everyone would agree on paper that the 49ers are vastly more talented than the Seahawks, it's really damn difficult to beat a team 3 times in one season. FiddySicks
This feels like a rerun of just about every 49ers playoff loss I’ve watched for the past 20 years. Come out flat, make straight up boneheaded decisions both on the field and with your coaching, lead most of the game, and then trail at the most inopportune times. Wash rinse repeat. Niners have to make some coaching adjustments (which I’m not confident they have the ability to do), and Purdy has to outplay Geno Smith (which I have even less confidence in) or this is going to be yet another very frustrating end to a promising season for the Niners. 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
