Roller Hockey League

Does anyone remember the roller hockey league in the early 90's with Ron Duguay, that was from Orlando and was shown on ESPN. I wish I had my crude drawings of the logos and uniforms that I did. I don't remember any of the names but, think the name of the league was the World Roller Hockey League. Of course web searches of that bring me nothing. Anyone have any info logos, etc.? It's kind of like my kick with the AFL uni's and USFL ones... a sick one!

Man o man, this brings back memories. I used to watch these guys in the middle of the night when I got off of work. One goal I remember went like this. The ball was fire wide of the net, it rolled up the ramp and up the angled glass behind the goalie. Then dropping right in front of him onto the stick of a forward and into the back of the net . I enjoyed watching that league. :hockeysmiley:

PBH was the best.

I wish it was still on.

Naw. That was on the Beach in Huntington Beach, California and the host was Marty McSorley and one of the most smokin babes ive ever seen. Oh how i miss you PBH!!!! Oh how i miss the Express winning the championship vs the all powerful Heavy Metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the name of the league that played in one of the backsytage parking lots at Disney MGM Studios was called the World League Roller Hockey

Nope, it was indeed the World Roller Hockey League. I think I still have a few of their games on tape when it was shown in Canada on TSN. I thought it was cool.

Here were the teams that played in the "league" (there were six or seven):

# Blast

# Wave

# Fury

# Aztecs

# Titans

# Typhoon

# Express

Oh ya, the Express won the title. They beat the Blast, I believe.

The jerseys were something else. They were more of a Zubaz style. I thought about looking into seeing if I could get one at the time.

I'm in the midst of moving stuff into my house, and moved a bunch of clothes yesterday. In the mix: a Rockin' Rollers black replica, complete with neon green trim and yellow musical notes on that trim. Egad.

I also have a team-autographed white St. Louis Vipers jersey from the 1995 season, when I was a season ticket holder. Even includes team president Bernie Federko and Towel Guy.

Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop!
