Cujo
According to the New York Daily News, New York Jets wide receiver, Wayne Chrebet, has played his last game with the Jets following the ninth concussion of his career.I know this story broke a day or two ago, but I just wanted to say that Wayne was always the ultimate team player. This guy went out on a play, as he always did, giving it all for his team and the fans of New York, on a crucial play, one which would eventually be the last of his career. Wayne was a great Jet and it's truly sad to see him have to hang 'em up due to these unfortunate circumstances.
sscrunner06
This is truly a sad thing to see. Even though I was never a Jets fan, I always liked Wayne Chrebet. How appropriate was the last play of his career, though...sacrificing his body for the team.

VitaminD
Few players have ever gotten more out of what they had to work with. It makes clowns like T.O. with all the talent in the world look that much more foolish running their mouths and acting like prima donnas when there are people like Chrebet who can be productive despite being smaller and slower. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

tp49
Chrebet is probably the best player to ever come out of Hofstra. Giovanni Carmazzi wholeheartedly objects. Carmazzi a product of Jesuit High in Sacramento, who probably didn't even know where Hofstra was before UOP's program went bust and he had to leave did nothing in the NFL. Unlike Chrebet. Cool I can link where I grew up to where I live now.

Yeah Dr. York probally still thinks he did the right thing choocing him over San Fran native Tom Brady. Oh please. York has been a real idiot in his tenure with San Fran but if you wanna call him an idiot for not mpicking up Brady your gonna have to call all 32 teams idiots for passing him up, including the Pats for waiting till the 7th round. NO ONE saw Brady's potential. And honestly, whos to say Brady would have been able to succeed in San Frans system anyway?now thats over with i have a funny Wayne Chebret memoryKeyshawn Johnson: "Im a star, Chebret is a flashlight compared to me." That always cracked me up, Wayne will for sure be missed On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: Sheβs still half convinced βChris Creamerβ is a porn site.) BCBoy
Keyshawn Johnson: "Im a star, Chebret is a flashlight compared to me." Hehe, yeh, this was before the last game of the season and the Bucs were playing the Jets on Monday night. Before the game Keyshawn says "You're trying to compare a flashlight to a star. Flashlights only last so long. A star is in the sky forever."That game Chrebet caught the game winning TD pass vs the Bucs.Meanwhile, Keyshawn only had one catch in the game, for only one yard.
