Your Top 5 NFL power rankings

In 5..4..3..2..1

Recommended Posts

Mine are as follows.............

1.Colts .........nuff said

2.Broncos Well with a 9-2 record and residing in the better of the two conferences they are going to have be the next best to the Colts good running game and a very efficient passing game as long as Jake does'nt make a mistake.

3.Seattle The best of the NFC as it stands now. Alexander!

4.Jags The best team nobody is talking about I don't care if Leftwhich is out or not Gerrad may just be better anyways, just watch. Tough D.

5.Bengals/Bears. The Bengals beat them earlier in the season but the Bears rookie Qb has settled down since then. The Bengals have such an explosive Offense and the Bears the best D in the league. A tough call so we are tied up at the 5th spot for now.

1. Colts--like there's even gonna be a debate on this?

2. Broncos--they're finding ways this year...Jake Plummer hasn't reverted to his usual not too good form as of yet, and they even got key contributions from a guy like Ron Dayne. If it weren't for the Colts having their magical run, they'd be the talk of the NFL.

3. Seahawks--I think people are starting to realize that there's a LOT more to the Hawks than just Shawn Alexander (who, IMO, is emerging as the best RB in the league).

4. Bears--I'm getting a 2000 Ravens vibe from Da Bears this season. They have an OK offense (basically, a QB in Orton that's just asked not to make any mistakes, like the Ravens did with Trent Dilfer that season) and a SICK defense. I think the back to back wins over the Panthers and Bucs cemented them among the league's elite and showed folks they're for real.

5. Bengals--The polar opposite of the Bears  They've got one of the nastier offenses in the league this side of Indy (Palmer showing that Heisman form, 2 explosive guys at wideout in Chad Johnson and Houshmenzadah (or however it's spelled  for the life of me, I can NEVER get it right) and a very underrated RB in Rudi Johnson) and a D that bends quite a bit but doesn't seem to break all that often.

Honorable Mention

Chiefs

Chargers

Cowboys

Giants

Jags

Housatonic U. Dragons (NCFA Basketball): 16-6 (8-4 Conf.)--National Runner-Up

Jersey State U. (NCFA Football): Inaugural Year - 2006

Motor City Silverhawks (WArFL): 9-4 (3rd--National Conf.)

Lehigh Valley Ironmen (WAmFL): Inaugural Season--2006

New England Marauders RFC (RLI): 6-0-7 (6th place)

Detroit Spirit (AA): 3-6 (T-4th--Patriot League)

Brooklyn Atlantics (IBF): 10-5 (1st--Appalachian Conf.)

1. Your Indianapolis Colts

2. Seahawks (is that even a real bird?)

- I've been waiting for the Seahawks to break through in this division for a couple years now, since holmgren took over anyway. it's a weak division, just like with the Bears and the NFC north, but the Hawks and Bears are both amazing teams in their own right.

3. Broncos

- Don't like them at all, but Plummer is tearing it up in a possible MVP campaign. and when did they get a hold of Ron Dayne? good pick up by the Broncs.

4. Bengals

- Carson Palmer is ridiculous this year after his previous disappointing seasons. He has made a believer out of me that the Bengals could do some damage in the playoffs. obviously he has a great supporting cast with Chad Johnson and Rudy Johnson with Houshmandzada (i know i didnt spell that right, sorry). the defense is suspect at best, but as long as you have one more point than the other guys at the end, that's what matters.

5. Bears

- Gotta love the new Monsters of the Midway. ok, not quite the 85 defense, but they are rather impressive to say the least. this defense wont win them the Super Bowl this season, but will give this team and all of Chicago hope for a title run here in a year or two. who would've thought that Chicago was going to have 3 playoff teams within a year? (Bears, ChiSox and Bulls). GO BEARS

Don't discount the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS. Chiefs have a better D this year, and a young man by the name of Larry Johnson who in all likelyhood will take over for Preist Holmes for good; he's not bad. They may not win 5 in a row to get in as a wild card, but they will probably be the best team not to make it into the playoffs.

1. Denver Broncos (okay, yes homerism applies here.): Leagues best running game with their running backs. Plummer playing the best game of his career. Defense is stuffing the run, pressuring the QB and causing turnovers which they didn't do the past two playoff seasons. Special teams have been a major key to their success.

2. Indianapolis Colts: Why second? They have the weakest schedule of any NFL team but are winning, no mistake there.

3. Chicago Bears: 2000 Ravens defense anyone?

4. Seattle Seahawks: Best running back in the league, powerful offense.

5. San Diego Chargers: Best PLAYER in the league, great offense, difficult schedule.

I can't believe how many times I've seen the Bears on these lists. I'd put them top 10, perhaps 5, but not 3. I'm glad for the support though :D

1. Indy

2. Denver

3. Seattle

4. Bengals

5. Chargers (and they might not make the playoffs!)

To expand:

6. Bears

7. Dallas (Jags would be here, but no leftwich is a problem)

8. Steelers

9. Carolina

10. Giants

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Okay stop, yes its a homer statement, get over it)

2. Indianapolis Colts (Ehh, they aint bad)

3. Seattle Seahawks (Any team who wins their division this early has to be up there, even if it is the NFC West)

4. Chicago Bears (They keep reminding me of the 2000/2001 Ravens more and more every day)

5. Denver Broncos (I hate to say it, but this team is good)

6. (Okay, i had to add a 6th team due to everyone elses denial about my team :P ) Cincinatti bengals (probably the best looking team in the NFL other than the Colts)

1. INDIANAPOLIS

2. DENVER

3. SEATTLE

4. CINCINNATI

5. PITTSBURGH

Bears don't quite make the list, they need to show a little bit more offensive power to be in the top 5.

San Diego have looked average in too many games this season, in other they look like offensive and/or defensive killers.

Either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh will drop after their head-to-head matchup come Sunday.
