CC97
Why is it that after 20 years or so of wearing the same uniforms, they start changing every year. Does the current management have Adult ADD or something? Please just pick something and stick with it for awhile! This will be the third season wearing the same uniform, the only change is wearing a black hat instead of a dark grey cap with their homes.Believe it or not, this is the longest the Jays have worn the same uniform since their 1997-2000 unis. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
epper
i too am sad they are dropping the graphite. sure, i'd LOVE to see blue hats with the current logo set, but the graphite was unique. no other team in the league has them. which is why i bought one as soon as they came out.guess it'll just be a collectors item now. braden, i share your pain. but look on the bright side, now we got a team that can take down the Two Towers ahead of us in the AL East! slapshot
No, I'm sorry, it must be a different Braden.I just moved to Toronto from Brampton over the summer. I go to Seneca College (York University Campus) for Graphic Design. I'm a bad drawer. But I love Graphite. If you like graphite so much, why don't you just carry around a handful of pencils? The_Admiral
Grey really doesn't work for hats. FiddySicks
Why dont they just do this? Wear the black hat at home, switch the road grays to graphite and wear the graphite hat with it. I believe his point was that you said 98% of caps were red or blue, therefore black would be unique, making up only a portion of 2%... of course i'm just speaking on my interpretation of the whole thing --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
Braden
We can argue all we want, but the fact of the matter is, it's gone.I am a minority in loving them, and that's fine. If ditching the Graphite hat means that more people will like the team and it's identity better, then I would prefer ditching it.It's just a damn shame cuase it was so distinct and unique, and it was a good look.I have my authentic (now OLD) home & bp hats, and I wear them cause they make awesome fashion hats IMO. I also have my unused Graphite Road jersey that I wear around Chris to bug him .One thing is for sure, I'll be sporting Toronto Blue Jays Graphite for years to come with pride. And for all of you who are squealing for a blue hat, I have yet to see a good REALISTIC concept using the colours the jays use now that features a blue hat. I've seen fashion hats in the Jays store and the're as bright as the old teal Marlins hats.

I'm pretty sure they're still there.I don't know why it does, but it still bothers me to no end that the BLUE Jays have a minimal amount of Blue in their uniforms, yet have an abundance of 'grey' in there. One of the nice things about the Jays in the past has been that they have been bright and eyecatching.I am a fan of the black cap, and wear mine regularly, but overall the Jays are far too darkly coloured for the team. Practically every other team out there that is named after a bird or animal in some way has a colour scheem that is represenative of the animal that they are named after (The Florida Panthers immeadiatly jump to mind as a team that doesn't)I won't mind it so much in there as a tertiary colour, but the bird is blue, it should be features prominently in the team's colour scheme
