FiddySicks
quite creative, but very unrealistic. I mean since when does a snowplow sound like bells. Make it sound like an 18-wheeler for crying out loud.... Well, it does make a loud Beeping sound when it backs up.
Intimidator85
I don't mind the new touches. The new graphics and sound effects are OK with me. I also don't mind Tony Siragusa. Siragusa really provides a lot of insight about what's going on out on the field and you can tell he's played the game. Bash me if you want, but I'm not the one who's nitpicking about a scoreboard. I'm not nitpicking, I'm just trying to watch a damn game of football. I could give to craps about how the score board looks, as long as it says the score and who's winning and the quarter that's all you need. But when they add so much crap into it that it starts to look like I'm watching the Disney channel, and everytime they show a close up of someone on the sideline it cuts the top of their head off, we have a problem. They don't need to be creative. The scoreboard should do nothing past providing an instant affirmation of the score, quarter and time. I do not need to hear Christmas bells or be charmed or get into the Christmas spirit by looking at it. This isn't a contest to see how much they can use their fancy graphics package. They also started one of their flashback graphics during a kickoff, and the whole screen was covered with a FOX graphic for a good 2 seconds. The broadcast has gone from being helpful and resourceful to downright intrusive and distracting. The yellow line was great, but let's stop it right there. Stick your tinsel and "Happy Holidays" on the commercial break scoreboard thing and call it a day.
jkrdevil
Hey, I liked it. It was the only thing entertaining about the game.
ElwoodCuse
We inch closer and closer to that Onion picture "Televised sporting event completely obscured by on-screen graphics".
BCBoy
And thank you Fox for finally ditching the LED-style grahics. YES! I hated their scoreboard more than any other because of those stupid LED's they should in team colours. I'd much rather they put the logo and anitials representing each team. The scoreboard seen today is a huge upgrade over the LED scoreboard.

The scoreboard seen today is a huge upgrade over the LED scoreboard. I like how Fox had it two years ago with just the teams helmet logo next to their score. Then they had to change that in the playoffs to the logo with the city's initials, then to just the initials, then to that weak LED graphic. pooter
Btw, what's up with them playin Jack Johnson into every single commercial break? It's like on NASCAR broadcasts, they only ply the first few bars from "Fuel" by Metallica. It gets to the point where it just sounds like whinning. I used to like that song, now I hate it and can't hardly stand to watch a NASCAR race because of it.

Your Name Here
I liked the robots they used back in the days of the NHL on FOX. Funny stuff.
Pat
I actually found myself watching the snow pile up and waiting for the plow to go by. I liked it, the sounds got annoying but it was new and kind of fun.
Chiefster2000
Just a quick little complaint. Not only do I hate Fox's score bar that takes up a whole line across the top of the screen for every sport they show, but today their line is filled with Xmas colors, logos, snow trucks plowing snow, jingle bell sounds, and snow falling. Are we tuning in to watch football or are we tuning in to see how the graphics team at Fox can make my TV into a sweet screen saver that only a grandma would love? Thats exactly right!!! I didnt like it either.
timmy b
trust me if ANYONE from fox is reading this forum, they LOVE it and won't change a thing. because we're talking about fox. not a peep about cbs and their rather dull, listless "traditional" blue score box in the upper left/right corner of the screen. no flashy arrows on the field saying "2ND AND 7" no monster "NFL ON FOX" "signs covering half the stands on a kickoff. just dull blue-white-silver graphics. pity dull boring cbs. tb
DGivens87
The jingle bells everytime there was a first down was cool, IMO. Everything about the game though was right!
DrBear
not a peep about cbs and their rather dull, listless "traditional" blue score box in the upper left/right corner of the screen. OK, I'll peep. I have a 25-inch set, sit eight feet away and IT'S STILL TOO DAMN SMALL TO READ!By contrast, I COULD read the Fox one, even with the snowplow.ESPN's is also pretty small. NBC/ABC are right in the middle.
BigEd76
Not sure about the other FOX games, but the Eagles/Rams one doesn't have any snow or plows or anything above the scoreboard....just the lights on the silver bar*. They also started out with the bells on the 1st down graphic, but now it's back to silence...* - Did anyone else notice that the new bar graphic matches the one used in the MLB playoffs? They also started out with the bells on the 1st down graphic, but now it's back to silence...Sorry bro. It's not in the FOX budget to spend graphics money on games that were probably watched by you and I, and that's it. That game was so meaningless, the Home and Garden network got a ratings spike today.
