TBGKon
Thankfully they didn't call it the Louisiana Pacific Field of Nashville, fans would wonder whether their team was the Saints or the Titans
Juddley
They picked a decent name for the stadium that could have been a lot worse.
Dilbert
I like it. I never liked the name The Coliseum. Its too generic. Signature intentionally left blank

walkdesign
Very nice logo for a building company. I like it a lot. Clean and simple Walk DesignTwitterDribbbleFacebookGoogle+
no97
Welcome to the Lip?!? Um, that makes no sense... Random insertion of an "i" into what would be LPF, if you were to make it an acronim...As for the logo/name, I like the logo, kind of like the name. I'd have prefered the name LP Coliseum, but can live with LP Filed. Overall, an upgrade from just "Coliseum."Moose
leedsunited
Uh, I don't get how "LP Field" is an upgrade in any way over "The Coliseum".Sounds ridiculous. At least "The Coliseum", while generic, was more awe-inspiring than an acronym for yet another corporate monolith.
Broken Record
I liked the Coliseum, but I also liked its original name "Adelphia Coliseum." There are still fans that refer to it as "The Delph." Adelphia Coliseum was the best of both worlds because the corporate name had some tie in to the team nickname.$30 million bucks is a lot of cash to be had, so I can't argue too much with selling the naming rights. Especially considering the team doesn't have a long and storied history in Tennessee. This is not as bad as changing Candlestick Park for example.I think most fans have come to the conclusion that corporate names are here to stay. There's just too much money at stake. They could certainly have done better than LP Field, but my guess is that LP would be opposed to the idea of LP Coliseum because everyone then would just continue to call it the Coliseum (many will anyway for a while). And one other point, I agree, the logo ain't bad. I simpliy stated that your comment didn't make much sense. If it was humorous to you, fine. I'm not going to get into a name calling match with you. otherwilds
The morning sports radio guy suggested calling it the Album but was promptly chastised by his co-hosts despite the vauge Music City connection. Not a bad name in my opinion. Its not obxious or cumbersome as other and it is a solid company that won't disappear like all those dot coms. Plus they recently moved a headquarters to Tennessee. I thought Nissan who is is the process of moving its offices to Nashville might pony up some cash for the tie-in.
winghaz
LP Field fits perfectly in Music City (for those of you who remember what LPs were).

FiddySicks
I like it. I never liked the name The Coliseum. Its too generic. Yeah but i LOVED Adelphia Coliseum. It sounded so Titan like to me. Broken Record
Yeah but i LOVED Adelphia Coliseum. It sounded so Titan like to me. Dunno why, but it did. I believe Adelphia means brother or brotherhood, or something like that in Greek and the Titans are a part of Greek mythology. One other note to add to all of this, with Louisiana Pacific being the sponsor, a producer of building supplies, some Titans fans have already nicknamed it "The Woodshed." TruColor
I still don't know why they couldn't have just named it "LP Coliseum"...
Mings
It fits, I'm sure there are some LP products in that stadium already anyways. And yes LP, Georgia Pacific and Weyehauser probably have the best logos for building supply companies. I have to look at them every day.
YELDARBfield
I thought Nissan who is is the process of moving its offices to Nashville might pony up some cash for the tie-in. I heard that Nissan was gonna try to buy the rights to the Predators' Gaylord Entertainment Center. Gaylord pulled out of the contract, so there have been several rumors of future naming rights owners for the current Nashville Arena.
