BamaHater
The Padres are wearing betls and only some are wearing stirrups.
nwtrailtrekker
The uniforms are too ugly to even discuss (though as someone else pointed out, the 70s mesh, side panel caps are hilarious) however......is Jimmy Johnson's fly open? you staring? BamaHater
No pics yet of any of the players that are wearing stirrups. They look sweet thought, well from the T.V. at least.
Bernd
Astros wore white at home and on the road back in '76? Odd I didn't know that.....

marlinfan
The Padres' jersey really isn't that bad. Looks sorta nice. 1997 | 2003
totc
It looks to me as though the number and name on the back of today's replica Astros jersey are a little higher than they were in the 70s.And I wonder what would have happened if the Astros had used that 1980 Tuscon Toros design as the road jersey alternate rather than the gray "Rainbow Sleeve" jersey. Yeesh! Was that the intention?
totc
Naaah. Tuscon Toros, 1980. Yellow, turquoise, avocado, pink, lime, red. And with orange pants! You mean these ? Oh my. Looks like Jackson Pollock threw up on polyester and they made jersies out of it. Those should end the discussion for the worst uniforms ever. If anyone brings the topic up again. Just repost this. You got it, Brother Cranium. This is worse than the River City Rascals, the Chicago White Sox shorts, Wild Wing, those cowboy hockey jerseys from the CHL, Hull City's tiger stripes of 1992, the Colorado Caribous, the first season of NFL Europe, any World Football League team bordering the Pacific Ocean, the Australian netball team of two years ago, Virginia Commonwealth basketball 1992-3, the 1976 Cleveland Cavaliers, and the entirety of Oregon football 2006. ltravisjr
Astros wore white at home and on the road back in '76? Odd I didn't know that..... Well, officially they say the road uniforms were the slightest almost unnoticeable shade of gray. I watched plenty of Astros games then on tv as a kid and I swear it always looked white to me. I just figured the amount of color in the jersey qualified it to be "some other color" as the rules stipulate for road uniforms.LT
LEWJ
the padres ones are flawless....they're great...i love 'em.....The astros...those would be perfect if the pant #s were smaller or gone altogether....MLB needs to use retro more.... | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |

winghaz
I had forgotten just how sharp those San Diego uniforms with the script Padres were. But with the belts, those uniforms are fantastic (all they have to do is add buttons to the jerseys).Time to bring a modernized version of those back, Padres. Complete with the brown, gold and orange. And it's time for baseball to return to the stirrups. The stirrups make the baseball uniforms look like baseball uniforms. BamaHater
2/3 or so of the Astros wore the stirrups and they looked great. I also liked the Stros went beltless. The only thing they did wrong was put the MLB logo on the back of the jersey.

cranium
Those padres unis are sweet, especially the two-tone stirrup socks combo. Is the pant stripe accurate on the Astros? I don't remember it being that wide, of course I was 7 at the time.
