Utah Jazz alternate jersey?

If it wasn't for those pesky Nuggets they could have used those as their roads to begin with. Magnitudes better than the navy jersey.

Such a light shade of blue could even be used as a home jersey against most teams.

There was nothing wrong with the 1996-2003 set, except Utah not being on the purple jerseys. How could they get it right, succeed with that look, then dump it? I'll never know.

heh, I wouldn't have fancied you a fan of that set, TCR...ya learn somethin new every day :D

The Jazz need to make a purple version of this. then they should make a white version. after that, they need to dump all the navy on the light blues in favor of purple. Then they should lock up the idiot who okayed going with the trendy color in the first place...wait, that was the owner. oh well, hostile takeover anyone?

Oh yeah, I'd always been a huge fan of how the Jazz looked until they switched to the park district uniforms. Purple and sky blue are an underrated combination, and the green and copper complemented the main colors well. They actually made the Jazz look like a Utah team instead of a New Orleans transplant, name notwithstanding. As I've said, their uniform and colors used to represent jazz, then Utah, but this represents what exactly?

Snazzy. I love the "UTAH" down the shorts. But they'd look even better if Denver and Memphis hadn't beaten them to the punch on this color scheme. And I agree wholeheartedly with TCR - these would look magnificent in purple, and the Jazz were fools to ditch their previous color scheme.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

I've been looking at these pics and PANTONE's color swatches for half an hour now trying to figure out if this is the same shade of light blue that the Nuggets use. The surrounding colours, lighting, fabric etc make it look different but when I look at the colour swatches they're so close I can't tell them apart.

Is it just the type of fabric that makes them look like different shades? (Nuggets high-gloss vs Utah matt finish ^_^ )

I'm not a huge fan of these unis, mostly because I think the shade of blue looks more washed out than anything else. However, I really appreciate that the Jazz and Wizards introduced alts this year that go beyond simple recolors. I'm especially excited for the new "Phila" Sixers alts too.

I agree. The last set was perfect, minus the black alt. I even dug the mountains on the jersey.
