rtrich11
Baylor had been systematically removing gold from the football unis for a while now. They barely even had gold on their head to toe green and white unis last year. I'm glad to see them bring it back, and I wonder if it was requested by fans and alumns. cafepress.com/artbyrichards

WSU151
Wow, a plain green jersey. Good taste wins out over a possible monstrosity, and you're disappointed? Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. Â
Fred T. Jane
Gold pants are back for the first time in several years. I am hearing the following for this season, alhtough there could be soe other variations...HOME: Gold helmets - green jerseys - gold pantsROAD: Green helmets - white jerseys - green pants Too bad they still couldn't beat half the High School teams in Waco... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. navywhitestripes
but the sad thing here is, even though it doesn't have the piping/modern look. you still have an another team trying to take on the look of the hurricanes.

Yeah, it isn't as though Baylor had green/gold uniforms for at least a decade before the University of Miami was even founded or anything... rcb05
Interesting that they got rid of the 'BAYLOR' wordmark across the chest.
Max Power
Isn't Baylor a fashionable pick to go to a bowl this year? I realize they've been horrible for 10 years straight, but I though I've read this is going to be they're break out year. Either way, nice uniforms. Better if they said "Baylor" on the front. speedo
I think those look great !Of course, I would cheer for Mars (and every other place in the universe) over Baylor, considering how their then-coach voted Michigan third in the 1997 coaches' poll... sonks
Yeah I saw these in the Waco Tribune-Herald the other day (I live in Waco) and yes there was pressure from alumni to make this change happen. Most of them were enraged by the green helmets last year. I love everything about these uniforms, they scream sophisticated simplicity. The triple-wide green and white stripe is what makes the set really cook. The only thing I wish for now is stability. I want to see them try to keep the same look for an entire decade at least. They've been trying to reinvent the look of Baylor athletics like every single year and it's been driving me nuts. Now that they've hit the spot I hope they keep it this way.As far as the team's play goes, expect a winning percentage of at least .500 and a spot in the Fort Worth Bowl. With a fresh new offense modeled after Texas Tech's Air Raider attack and a newfound confidence carried over from last year (they were just two overtime victories over OU and A&M away from a reputable Bowl berth), they will turn heads this season. Even the last game against Oklahoma looks like a winnable game (if we can score on their defense) because of the loss of Rhett Bomar.
