OnWis97
My school district covers several towns and I don't know which he is from, but Jordan Leopold went to my high school. mohelmets
Well, I grew up in a town of 2,000, so no pro athletes came from there, but the closest would be Ryan Longwell of the Packers who grew up 35 miles from our town....My health teacher in high school was the brother of Bill Bergey, who was a linebacker for the Bengals and Eagles back in the 70's...The year the Eagles played the Raiders in the Super Bowl (1981, I believe), she went to the Super Bowl, only to see her brother not win...However, there have never been any pro athletes from the town I come from....Mike

Korkie
Mike Piazza is from Norristown, which is about 20 minutes away, and Tommy Lasorda is from Phoenixville, which is about 5 minutes away (if that). I did play on the same Little League baseball team with two minor leaguers (Jared Trout, baseball, and Matt Herneisen, hockey) "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. DrBear
Can't claim much for my actual hometown - Hortonville, WI (at best, Denny Sommers who was a coach with the Cleveland Indians for a while), but in Appleton, where both my mother and I worked, we'd often drive past the bar owned by the father of Pittsburgh Steelers great Rocky Bleier. Fred T. Jane
We haven't won a high school football game in 3 years here, so that gives you a hint of how many famous athletes are from here... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness.
