-(dp)-
Why was Brady Quinn even a finalist? Mike Hart or Chad Henne should have been a finalist before him. We all knew who was going to win it. They should have had the trophy at the horseshoe on Nov. 18, and just gave it to him after the game.
TFoA
Troy Smith winning = Duh. No-Brainer.But yeah, he did deserve it. Every game, he's come up big for the Buckeyes, and, yet, he still has that "role-player" thing going for him. Awesome, and congrats to Troy Smith. infrared41
Troy Smith, The Ohio State UniversityNO WAY!!! Really? Seriously though, Troy had a great season to be sure but in all honesty there wasn't much competition. With all due respect to Troy, I think it was a pretty watered down race this year. That said, we'll still be glad to add another Heisman to the collection. GO BUCKS!PS: JP, thanks for the "The." All roads lead to Dollar General. sscrunner06
Of course Troy won the Heisman, but I was a little surprised that McFadden came in second over Brady Quinn. What do y'all think about that??
FiddySicks
Well, it looks like Tampa Bay just found themselves a quarterback. Screw you Oakland and Detroit, hes ours!!!! -(dp)-
I am a lions fan, and a Michigan fan, so I normally wouldn't want the lions to draft a buckeye, but if he is still there when they pick (probably top 5) I hope they get him.
Fred T. Jane
"Over the last decade, the Heisman Trophy has become the most overrated individual award trophy in sports."Discuss. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. hormone
Troy deserved it (even though I hate OSU), McFadden was "too young" and why on Earth does Brady Quinn and ND even get mentioned? I'm sick of the hype of that team and the "free passes" they seem to be getting the last few seasons. As far as overrated...yeah, I agree. No discussion necessary. You can name NFLers who succeeded probably on one had over the last decade + of Heisman winners.TB getting Smith...I don't think he fits Gru's system. I think Quinn fits better...but I think he's junk...but his junk is better than McCown, Rattay, Grad, and def Simms put together. OK, I'll shut up now. OK, I'll shut up now.How can anybody question how Brady Quinn deserved to be there?3,278 yards, 35 TD's, and 5 INT's deserves to be there. Disagree? Explain how Leinart won it with 3,322 yards (that's with the bowl game), 33 TD's, and 6 INT's with a LOT more talent around him? There was really no doubt Troy Smith would win it. Definetely deserved it. Can't help but think he'll be another on the list of Heisman winners that make mediocre, or worse, NFL players, though.
