To think there was a time that I was excited the Rams drafted Lawrence Phillips. <_<

Were you also excited when the Rams took Eric Crouch, too??? :D

Yes, actually.....

*bangs head on desk*

wasn't he the one that was cut during training camp that year he was drafted?

I thought Crouch "retired"....

He objected to playing wideout. So he retired/quit and hoped that some team would let him play QB. Waste of a 3rd.

They also wasted a 5th that year drafting Steve Bellisari to play Safety.

Someone actually drafted Steve Bellisari? Wow. Did he have incriminating pictures of someone or something?

I was surprised there were no Browns on that list but then it occurred to me, they had to exclude the Browns or it would have been all Browns.

Tim Couch, Courtney Brown, Gerrard Warren, William Green, Jeff Faine, Tommy Vardell, Craig Powell...and those are just the first round picks. At least they didn't botch any picks from 1996-1998.

Ouch...

I think the stories of Eric Crouch and Steve Bellisari tell us something: QUARTERBACKS DO NOT WANNA PLAY SAFETY!!!

(Or course, if you're Woodrow Dantzler, you can be a return specialist for a while; if you're Matt Jones, you can be a RECEIVER!!! And if you're Michael Bishop, you can...

...uh--what happened to him again???

And if you're Tommie Frazier, you just don't care to play in the NFL...)

QB for the Grand Rapids Rampage.

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

Hey I did!

(Nvm that it was in high school...and I was just plain crappy at QB. :P )

That being said...The Draft is amazing. If it's a hit, then it's a super hit. If it's a miss...Then it's a complete and utter waste, failure, and implosion in all sorts of fashion.

 Heres a new one to add Tedd Ginn Jr.

Good God...if THAT wasn't a reach, I don't know what was.

May as well rename Cam Cameron Reed Richards or something...

(For those not familiar with the Fantastic 4, he's the stretchy guy)...

It don't the Dolphins have Chris Chambers so they didn't need Ginn.

They have Lemon and Culpepper so they could have used Quinn instead they select a garbage QB from BYU and the Trent Green deal is off.

Chris Chambers is not a #1 WR as they learned this past season. Wes Welker was their go-to-guy and kick returner, and he's on the Pats. Ginn has the stuff to be both, and I think he can do it, and I hope he does to prove you wrong. Obviously the Dolphins saw something in Quinn they didn't like, cause they took Beck in the 2nd round. He's not a nobody, Tank. Many scouts and analysts see him as a good QB.

The Trent Green deal is NOT off. In fact it might be a good thing, as the Chiefs are more than likely forced to RELEASE Green, where the Dolphins will pick him up since he wants to be in Miami.

So can you please stop remarking on how much you think the Dolphins are stupid. The draft JUST ended, and we have no clue how all of the drafted players will fit into their new teams.

"Enis."

"What'd I say?"

"Anus."

"Hehehehehe..."

Curtis Enis. Oh, dear God.

Just one thing though: what about Danny Wuerffel (great guy; not so great QB), and, for that matter, Chris Weinke? (And didn't both of them win the Heisman, too? Troy Smith...you paying attention?!)

I don't know, I was never overly sold on Brady Quinn's pro potential anyway, so I can't say that the Ginn pick was a mistake. Who knows, maybe Ginn's the second coming of Devin Hester?

What I do know is that Cleo Lemon, Daunte Culpepper, and maybe even Trent Green provides me with no assurances that the Phins have a quality QB who can win games consistently.
