FiddySicks
So this morning I got a call from one of my good friends down in Southern California and he offered me two of his tickets to game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Not too bad, about a $100 bucks a ticket. This is my first time ever attending any type of professional championship. Anyone ever been to a major championship (World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, Super Bowl)? What should I expect? scooter13
I was to Game 2 of the 1998 Stanley Cup Finals at Joe Louis Arena. My Dad got tickets from a vendor. The cool thing about it is that my Mom is a huge Red Wings fan, too. And originally she was going to go, but then called me and said that it would probably mean more to me then to her, so she was giving me the ticket! Now if that isn't a sign of how much a mother can love her son, then I don't know what is. As it was though, she was pretty peeved at me at first. See, I had gone to two other playoff games that year and they lost both. And I had seen three regular season games, and the Wings lost all of them. She was thinking I was bad luck. So when the Wings were down 3-1 after the second period, I am sure she thought she made a huge mistake. Luckily for me the Wings won in OT.So even though the Ducks knocked out my Wings, have fun and enjoy. Shumway
I went to the Calder Cup finals last year. Although it's not a major title, the electricity's still there in the arena. There's really nothing like a good playoff game.
HedleyLamarr
It wasn't professional, but I went to the SEC Championship game a few years ago, when UGA beat the crap out of Arkansas.....
DEAD!
I went to the 2001 NLL Champions Cup final. The Wings beat the Rock. It still, dare I say, Stings to this day.... I saw, I came, I left.
Phil
I was at the Grey Cup this last year. A lot of people representing a lot of different places. There was a lot of energy, a lot of things to see and do. I'm guessing your experience will be significantly warmer, though.
KevinMcD
I was at game 4 of the '99 SCF Series. I was only 9 at the time, so I don't remember it that well. I wish I had had an insider at the arena now rather than then. But from what I do remember it was great. The atmosphere was amazing, and should be even in a non-hockey market like SoCal. Just enjoy it 'cause it doesn't happen too often that you get to go to a championship game or series.
philly97flyer
I saw the 2003 Devils and Marlins clinch their respective championships within 4 and a half months of each other.
CC97
I wish I lived in an area where I could get Stanley Cup finals tickets that easily that cheap.I've never been to a pro playoff game before... when the Jays were good I was too young to buy tickets myself and it's impossible to get Leafs playoff tickets (when they make it, of course). I did go to the 2007 AHL All-Stars Skills Comp and the All-Star Game, that was fun, but I imagine the atmosphere at a Cup finals game would be amazing. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

FiddySicks
While in the area, be sure and take some time to visit the Mouse at DisneylandI accually lived in Costa Mesa (About a stonesthrow from Anaheim) for about half a year and did the Disneyland thing many many times. And before that it was D Land 2 to 3 times a year with the family till I was about 15. Only decent reason to hit up the Magic Kingdom anymore is for a date where you wanna be 100% certain your gonna get laid in the end. Sport
That sucks dude. I went to all 3 games of the 2005 frozen four. The arena was sold out, and it was fun watching the fans act ohiostate football crazy for their North Dakota and Denver college hockey teams. Maz
Ive been to one pro playoff game:Game 4 of the Pens v. Sens series {I like to call it the "Series of Impossible Dreams"} this playoffs. Considered their best game of the playoffs this year even though they lost it.... We had no chance but everyone still cheered like mad... it was amazing....anyways ive been to a high school football semifinal {never screamed at a public event so much in my life [mostly because relatives werent there unlike the pens game]} in which my school won. And a championship game in which my school lost. Its a lifelong goal of mine to attend a stanley cup final game... prefferably that of which my pens are in. And to touch the stanley cup {I had that chance once before but missed it... i wont miss it again} Pittsburgh Arsenal - Elite Football League (NFL) - est. 2006
