It's official...

The Boston Red Sox trade Engel Beltre, David Murphy and Kason Gabbard to the Texas Rangers for Eric Gagne.

Rich get richer.

*makes semi-annual plea for a salary cap*.

EDIT-Cardinals could use anyone who can throw at this point, so I'm content with the trade.

San Diego Padres trade Royce Ring to the Atlanta Braves for Wil Ledezma and Will Startup.

This one happened before the deadline, but got little press.

Who?

The Atlanta Braves trade Kyle Davies to the Kansas City Royals for Octavio Dotel.

In addition to picking up Teixera...the division is ours. I'm guaranteeing it right here.

Is Ledezma back in the country yet?

He was on the restricted list because he left his visa/passport in his pants' pocket and then he washed them, and couldn't get back into the US.

Pittsburgh acquired Matt Morris from San Francisco in exchange for OF Rajai Davis and a Player to be Named Later

Please. At the VERY least let that player-to-be-named-later be Bay.

Why would you want the pirates best played traded.

What? Jason Bay is the Pirates franchise.

Which proves how bad the Pirates are.

He's been back for a while. He gave up a game-winning homerun this past weekend, and essentially got left in Arizona....

Jason Bay is one of the top OF's in the game, he's just having an off year.

Youre kidding right? An off year? Hes been in a slump since June of last season. He has short good streaks and long hitless streaks. Hes terrible in the clutch. I cant count how many times he has hit into inning ending double plays, especially in key situations.

We have to trade him now while other teams still think hes good and will be willing to offer more for him.

You mean Jason "didn't even hit a home run in the Home Run Derby" Bay?

You know, I rarely visit ccslsc anymore. I really should fix that.

Yes, Jason "Didnt deserve to be in the home run derby or ASG to begin with" Bay

The problem with Bay, and the rest of the team for that matter, is that the "Pirate malaise" has set in. They go out expecting to lose and they play that way. He can't hit in the clutch, even when he was "good." His arm is weak and just a complete lack of fundamentals.
