tBBP
Have fun in Clipperland Baron. Who cares if the Clippers are now relevant (a very over used word). The day they win the NBA Championship is the day I become President Of The Universe!Change we can believe in??? *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
Audiodrama
Apparently, the Spurs are in the lead to sign Corey Maggette to a max mid-level deal. The Warriors, Clippers, and Magic are also in the running. From what I've heard, the Celtics have also offered the max mid-level to Maggette. Gary
ESPN is reporting that it's a done deal.So yeah, the Baron's back home in Hollywood, except it's for the Clippers. The Clips are now relevant.Ehh, not so fast. The Clip Joint is in the process of losing Elton Brand. But than again he did say he would stay if they signed Davis. Both great friends, played together at UCLA, but it depends if he takes a pay cut.First off, Elton Brand was a Dukie.Next, I won't buy into Brand staying with the Clips until the ink dries on a new contract. If he really wanted to remain a Clipper, he wouldn't have opted out in the first place. He's been on the shelf and has nothing to gain as far as dollars go. Eventhough signs may point to him staying, I wouldn't be shocked if Brand pulls a Carlos Boozer and jumps ship once a better offer comes along. I know if I were him, I would!Just getting what I got from a report on FSN. I thought that did seem a bit off
ShinyHubCaps
It sounds like the offers to Arenas are as follows:WAS - 6 yr / $127 millionGS - 5 yr / $107 millionOf course, even if he accepts for 6 years, he'll only play 4.5 after all his injury time is figured. TFoA
Warriors offer Brand max offer. So they don't have enough money to woo Baron Davis, but they're gonna offer the max to Brand? I love this offseason, because you know the Warriors are doing this just to fudge up the Clippers' plans.

TFoA
Philly is trying to get Josh Smith and Josh Childress. They have the cap space to do it too. If Sund (or whoever in the Atlanta Spirit is actually the GM) is serious about their priority of keeping those two, then this won't happen.Either way, you know this team is fudged up when they don't keep those two but keep Mike Woodson. TFoA
Brand to the Sixers, WTF?!?!Fantastic news because this means the Sixers probably won't get Josh Smith. Now the Hawks only have to worry about the Clippers, who now have egg on their face.
