Creamer NCAA Top 25 Poll

A little surprised to see Alabama off the list, but overall, it looks pretty solid. Let's get this season underway so we can see some teams move up and down the ladder!*

*even though most of the BCS top teams will only lose once.

I thought I would be one of the few that wasn't drinking the 'Bama kool-aid. Apparently I wasn't the only one.

I think Texas is ranked too high and Tennessee may be a little low. No dice on Hawaii. Otherwise it looks like a pretty solid first effort on our parts. We did good guys.

And just so no one wonders, I was not one of Ohio State's two number one votes. I had them at #7.

I am also guessing you weren't one of the ones who voted Michigan in the top 25 either. I was surprised to see how many votes they got. I am not saying they don't deserve them, but the media doesn't think they do.

No I wasn't but I can assure you that my allegiances will not affect my voting. If Michigan plays well (and I think they will as the season progresses) they'll get there.

One thing I don't get, is why expectations are so high with LSU when they lost their top two QBs, and that is one of the main reasons everybody is down on Michigan. Luckily, Michigan has 3 winnable games ( not easy wins though. Utah is a very good team), then a bye week. Hopefully by the time they start conference play, the offense will be clicking. The defense should be very good from the start, though. Nobody (me included) knows what to expect from the Wolverines, which is why I think I am more excited for this season than I ever have been before.

LSU still has the same offense and the same coach. Michigan has undergone a major makeover. The team in place was recruited to play in Lloyd Carr's offense not Rich Rodriguez's. It's going to be a transition that may take a while. LSU has none of those issues.

Wait, how many voters are there? Earlier you referenced 18, but I only count 17 first place votes.

After taking a closer look at my own choices versus the combined poll, I think I messed up with Rutgers. I'll fess up, 7 of their 8 points came from me. Glad to see I didn't over rate my own team, I only had them one space higher.

There were only 17 counted. STL never sent his in. May get someone else to take the mantle

I'll give it a whirl if you need a replacement. Expect some crazy rankings in the beginning weeks though until the cream sorts itself from the top.
